I've been using the Heroism Deck for quite sometime. 120-180 healing isn't all that great, but having it proc 2-3 times does stack up. Problem some people might see is that many melee classes have 4+ thousand Health, so 120-180 isn't much at all.

Cute little trinket, but try to find something else to fill the slot.

This item is just ok for anyone who is doing meelee damage. The 120 to 180 really isn't a whole lot, even though it might stack a couple times. As the comment before said, this trinket is just ok, and for someone with a lot of health... especially tanks, it's not worth spending your time getting or buying.

The proc percentage on this thing is not as often as I'd like, I was using this along with the https://www.wowhead.com/classic/spell=20034 Crusader Enchant, and Crusader would proc WAY more than this card. All in all it's "ok" but not really worth it in my opinion as there are a lot of better / more useful trinkets out there.

This item is a very nice trinket for those with fast attacks, instant attacks, and tanks. I recommend this item for fury warriors that cannot expect healing (battlegrounds, for example), Soloing/grinding rogues, and reckoning paladins. While the amount healed is small, it will add up over time and can surely save your life as well as take stress off of your healer if you are in a party.

I heard that there is an item in Burning Crusade that offers a similar effect but comes with stats, but I do not know its name

i got it. procs pretty often, sometimes it procs 3 times in a row and sometimes it never procs. but it's really good. saved me lots of time :D

i tested this out cause i was curious about that msyelf. Had this card equipped, complete set of valor, and crusader on Iron foe. Kept them on while messing with elites in Swamp of Sorrows. Best proc was as follows....

Ironfoe hit and proc crusader and the valor i believe.
3extra hits from Ironfoe CRIT, 2 of which procd all THREE of the enchantments and the last one which just proc'd crusader again. I know that is pretty unbelievable...i was in AWE! I wish i would have grabbed a screenshot of my combat log to prove it.

While attacking in melee this card can heal on average around 400HP per minute. Lifestone restores 10 health/5 secs. Heroism on average restores 33.33 health/5 secs while attacking. This is when you really need it. Restoring health out of combat is only good to reduce down time and most of the time you'll be at full health anyway. If you want the extra health per second then just get a trolls blood pot, that will do even more than the Lifestone and is extremely cheap to make.

I recently gathered the cards for my feral druid for around 170g on Frostmourne. The 1.00 speed cat form attacks make this quite useful. Not as good as a rogue with dual wield daggers but it's still good. It's also good in bear form to generate that extra bit of aggro.

Awesome trinket. Procrate is awesome, it can proc up to 4-6 times during a single fight...and it also can not proc at all.

What I'm curiouse about is, does is work in PVP aswell? I assume it does since it dosn't say anything about only working on some race. Has somebody tested it out?

On a sample test, out of 2402 hits, the card procced 276 times. That's roughly 11.5%. It's really helpful.

So, this item heals. Can its actual heal have an increased effect from other items that increase damage/healing or healing effects from spells and abilities by X? Any1 who knows, post on here, cause if it works, then we could grab 1 healing neck and couple of healing rings, and have an increased healing effect from 120-180 to a lot more, depending on the quality of the trinkets.

I tested this out in BRD, with about 26 min of fighting on ProcWatch. I averaged between 6-7 procs per min. We can say 6/min to be safe, even if it healed for the very minimum, which is rarely does, that is still 720hp/min.

If you're doing PvP or party/raid PvE then you should stay clear from heal proc items. Getting more damage will be much more benificial to you and your raid.

Where heal proc items really shine, is for Rogues/Warriors when they are solo grinding. The loss you take in damage, is made up for by having little to none down-time between fights (in party/raids, you will get heals during downtime).

The best pre-TBC gear for a solo grinding rogue is 8 part Bloodfang (for the heal proc), dual lifesteal enchants on weapons, Darkmoon Card: Heroism and Shard of flame. It doesn't gimp your damage that much, but it takes away most of the downtime of solo-grinding.

I am a 60 rogue and do MC weekly. I am currently collecting this set because my guild prefers to have the MINIMAL downtime as possible. So i am thinking, since rogues are basically on the poor end when it comes to heals, that this will be extremely helpful to healers so they dont have to waste mana casting heals when we could be clearing.

This card is great for grinding, either xp or just mobs for gold. Together with lifestealing, my bloodfang set bonus heal and Essence infused mushroom I have no downtime at all when grinding xp with my rogue. :)

... can you please .. all of you .. stop throwing around with random percentage numbers as the aproximated proc chance. IT DOES NOT have a certain proc chance, I'll say it once more

EVERY SINGLE PROC without the amount of percentage actually WRITTEN on it is NORMALIZED to the specific weapon

Currently I get 1 proc per 15 hits, at 1 hit per second. Or by calculation an estimated 3.8 proc's/minute.

In 1732 swings, it proc'd 132 times (7.6%).
My average proc/minute was 3.7.

Why is there a question about it working with Ranged Weapons? The text clearly says "Sometimes heals bearer of 120 to 180 damage when damaging an enemy in melee."

I want to get this AND Maelstrom for double procing. Not only that, I want Crusder on both my swords, Full Bloodfang for 8/8 proc and Thunderfury on my offhand for it's proc. That is a total of 6 procs. Get +3% attack speed on your equipment (1% on 3 of them) Then you add Imrpoved SnD and Blade Flurry... and you got yourself the God of Procs set. The only way I could make it better is get improved poison talents and get a fast mainhand for increased speed but it's better if get you a slow mainhand for increased SS damage. Oh ya, and of course poisons add to the proc damage. :)

It is almost on par with healing from crusader enchant. I have both and a UI that tracks things and it comes a little bit below crusader heals. its quite nice.

I have this and I can't say it's epic quality, it heals sometimes and even gets reduced healing by mortal strike (which really suck, but kinda obvious)
I'd rather have another trinket in the slot than this to be honest.

Gonna try the maelstrom trinket and see if it is better than this one ;)

edit: Oh yeah I forgot to mention; this trinket is much better in pve than in pvp, because in pve you wont get stunned to oblivion by most of the mobs allowing you to heal alot more (since you get more hits in on your opponent), making it excel in pve and allows you to have much less downtime between mobs (sucky in raids though since you will get heals anyway from your healers)

But in PvP you will get more stunned and less hits in on your opponent and you would rather have something that does damage so you can get your opponent down fast or something more usefull than a heal now and then, this is strictly speaking as rogue though :p

I only miss Ace of Warlords from having the entire deck. I think it will be nice to have in PvE. Would be even nicer if it would stack with The Demonforged Breastplate's 3% Chance Drain Life;)

Yes, I'm a dumbass for wasting time and money getting this trinket...
Excuse: The Tool-Tip was misleading...

I made a Ticket to GM about this, they aren't giving me a refund into its original deck, and the reason is that "At this point in time, Ranged Damage does not count as Physical Damage and it is unsure whether this should Proc with Ranged Damage." Yes yes... 450 gold down the drain, and a stupid Tool-Tip! Bah:'(

In addition, in Patch 1.7 all item based self heals will no longer be effected by equipment that provides bonuses to healing. This change affects both the Arcanite Champion and the Crusader Enchantment.

this trinket is much better for warriors and tnakers that need to hold as much agression as they can... with less heals they can hold it much better. rogues, hunters, and other damage classes should focus on just that, damage. be the dps you're hired to be in the groups not the servivable all in 1 group. get malestrom if your damage, twisted nether if your a rezzer, if your a damage caster go for the one the beast deck makes for mana regeneration.

the only ones that should use this are paladins or warriors that are acting as tankers for a group. it helps them hold a mob better and gives them more of a survival chance when overwhelmed with mobs.

Thanks to the queer Darkmoon schedule I was not able to turn the deck in until yesterday. I then went and tested it out versus a bunch of mobs, about an hour's worth of soloing.

Best I can tell the proc rate is 2/min and it is based on your melee swings. So 300 healed about, every minute of fighting.

Pretty underwhelming if you ask me.

lol, heroism doesnt suck. I've killed a full healthed full mana rank 11 druid while i was at 280 health, he moonfires i hit crusader + heroism proc, I hit again herosim procs, and again crusader im at 1.2k health by the time the druid dies from procing.

Does blizzard have to nerf everything, was looking forward to getting the heals up to about 400 with hide of the wild and other goodies and also get Crusader enchant on my Hammer of the Grand Crusader, but then they have to nerf away everything good about +healing to effects.

Can anyone tell me if this trinket will proc while in cat/bear forms?

I know weapon procs do not work while in forms but the tooltip says this is an "equip" bonus instead of usual "chance on hit".

I do not want to spend hard-earned gold on a useless item.

I've completed my warlords deck, and now I'm waiting for the faire to open once more. I'm not sure what to keep, what to replace, what not to use. I'm a 60 rogue, my talent tree is 12/31/8 if that means anything to you (except that precision plus my gloves gives me and extra 7% chance to hit). My trinkets are:

Seal of Elde'Thalas
Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom
Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether
Lifestone
Frostwolf Insignia Mark 4
Blackhand's Breadth
Insignia of the Horde

Could anyone advise me on what to use? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

I would not choose this over Maelstrom, even for taking. The dmg done by the other trinket is much more then what this heals for, and does full dmg since it is Nature dmg, not physical. THAT trinket will hold aggro easier, not this one.

Inless you specificaly want the healing, which a 120heal proc shouldn't make or break any battle, this trinket is a waste.

It acts as if a "Life steal" enchant is set on any melee weapon you wear, and with 120-180, it represents 4-6 times the 30hp drain from life-stealing enchant, but i assume the occurency of the special effect is less than for the enchant. And you can have a "real" enchant weapon put as well, like fiery of icy weapon !

I wonder if this card can proc with offensive spell and if so , does it can proc at every tick of my blizzard and moreover on every target ?
I got the ace of warlord for few gold . it may worth the try but it s still bit expensive in case it doesnt work . XD

ps:I maxed a bit my +spell item so if it could stack as well that would be awesome

I have this trinket on my warrior and use it when solo farming low level mobs because it allows me to have close to 0 down time. It procs fairly often (Weapon speed 2.7/2.5) and generally heals me around 170 HP. I payed around 60 gold for all the cards so I'd say it was worth it for my niche uses. I don't think it would be worth anything in dungeon/ raid content however.

as for Proc rates etc all complained about below, this trinket has no internal cd and can proc off of each melee attack you do, this means you can pull an entire instance in berserker stance, spam ww+cleave and get around 6 chances every second or so to proc this trinket, effectively can't die if you have enough avoidance. sitting at around 70% avoidance and this trinket I can pull all of SM Cath including the boss(just kill him last if you're gonna pull him) and not dip below 90% hp.

because parry haste effects your current swing timer when you have so many mobs on you your attack speed can get down to 0.1 or so basically allowing you to spam ww and cleave every 0.1 seconds and doing like 800 dps as deep prot.

very underrated trinket imho.
