This trinket used to be good pre-2.0, it gave a 20% damage increase. Now with the static 250 +damage plus mana increase, it is not worth using.

Should perhaps consider writing best _burst_ damage shaman trinket in-game.

Icon of Silver Crescent is (as per 2.0.x) +42dmg and +153dmg/20sec = 42 + 25.5 = 67.5 damage overall.

While this ends up at:

250/15 (dmg increase/total times it can be used on 5mins) = 16.66667 dmg.

Worst sustainable trinket in-game for shaman if I'm not mistaken.

this trinket improves the effect of spells by 20% but mana cost by 20% as well so the mana-damage ratio stays the same. For my exemples ill say paladins and shaman healing spells cost 100 mana to heal 100 pts and the spell takes 1 sec to cast to make things more simple.

for exemple without this trinket heal costs 100 mana and heals 100, and after it costs 120 mana and heals 120.

If you take a paladin with his trinket that improves his spells speed by 25% and shaman with this trinket:
Lets say the shaman casts 4 healing spells, then he woulda healed 4x120 = 480 healed for 480 mana in 4 sec.
The paladin, in 4 sec, can cast 5 spells cause 4x1.25 = 5. 500 healed for 500 mana.

500 > 480(##RESPBREAK##)908##DELIM##Uchur##DELIM##

By the way, I just looked at the paladin trinket. Yeah. All of you paladins have nothing to complain about. Casting speed increased by 20% for twenty seconds? Oh, that is not good enough. It has to be at least make every spell instant cast, reduce all the cool downs for spells to one second, and the effects of the trinket would have to last an hour and a half. Yeah, I think that would make everything fair. Screw every other class, how about we just go ahead and make all paladins invincible while we are at it. Would that make you happy? You would probably find something else to complain about.

The only thing this trinket is good for is getting more damage/healing done in less time and draining your mana pool. And since that will just earn you more aggro anyway...leave it.

Probably good for PvP, but why is a PvP trinket dropping in BWL?

Ok I have been on thread after thread after thread and ALL I have EVER seen is people say how much Shamans are repetitive and how much they spam earth shock and how a retarded monkey can play them. (ok maybe i added in the monkey) . Why do you say these things? Is it because you are angry? Is it because you play a Shaman and that is how you play it? Or could it be that you assume that is how us Shamans play and because you assume it then it has to be true. well I have played a Shaman for over a year now and the first time I ever spammed a shock of any sort was when i was taking down the Guardians in Un'Goro. The only reason I ever did that i because i read every persons "I hate Shamans" posts on the forums. A Shaman is a Jack of all Trades and a Master of NONE. So in closing the next time you want to bash a class because you assume you know they all play the same way, STOP think about this, "Every time you Assume you make an A$$ out of U and ME.

I got a shaman, and shocking is an important ascpet of us. Why not QQ over MS of a warr? Eviscerate of a rogue? Each class has strong and weak aspects. A good rogue can kick a shaman when hes casting a nature spell and force him to melee or cast frost (which does no damage after 3 casts) or fire shock which at lvl 60 is pretty crappy since its a level 52 shock.

In short stop QQing about shamans and learn2play your class

Interresting to here thefootdoc.
I guess something is wrong with my char then because i have no problems meleing in pvp.
I can go close combat with a MS warrior equipped with Unstobbable Force, same with rouges. Often i don�t even have to use my NS for heals even and when i face casters i�v just swap in to my Earth Shaker.

Ofcourse all Enhance don�t do good but a combination of either 30 enhance 21 resto, or 21 elemental 8 enhancement and 21 restoration is way better then an Elemental Masterie built, atleast if you don�t play on a PVE server and only run AV, and AV is nothing about pvp, it�s just farming.
Real PVP is outside instances and maby AB also and without either a combo of EF/NS or Imp WF/NS you ein�t gonna survive to do your job!
Ad that if you got a tiny interest for BWL/MC and other insatnces the enhance/resto build is the best, as your roll in an instance will be mainly healer + to put out totems to buff your group and if needed extra damage dealer, and to do damage with nukes in insatnces is stupid, way better to do mele damage and save mana for spot heals!

And when it comes to this trinket it�s actually not that good, i wouldn�t whanna swap my 2% crit trinket for this one, and the "Zandalarian Hero Charm" that everyone can get is way better as it doesn�t add any extra mana cost. Only thing would to swap between Zandal and this triknet to to lower cooldowns

Yeah. Zandalarian Hero Charm + Eye of the Beast is a 10x better combo.. and the hero charm has a 90 second cooldown and anyone can get it..

In any case, it's not worth whining over shammies being overpowered, we can't help it that we rock your face with our spell interuption and grounding totem mages (use your cone of cold and instant cast AoE)... We also can't help it if you can't keep us stunlocked so we don't use lightning shield and flame shock rogues.. Nor can we help you if you don't kill our totems warriors and paladins... Please.. get some skill or go away. If you're hunter, priest, or warlock and can't beat a shaman, you're pathetic.

Play a beast mastery hunter (absolute noobies - ask even non-shammies), shadow priest, or warlock if you want to rock a shaman's face.. otherwise learn to play - talk to a few shamen.. duel them a few times... and then grow up

A question to the people who have this trinket:

Is the damage increase added BEFORE +dmg from items, or after?

My base damage is, let's say, 500.
My +dmg from items is +300.

So, will I get a bonus of 100, or 160 from this trinket?

Hmm.. k... well most of your comments are lame :) and umm the pally talking crap earlier saying shamms suck, I want to say ive been taken down one time by a pally :( but im so sorry that I (cant), they do crap dmg there awesome raid/pvp healers thats it, criting me for 400-600 isnt gonna cut it when I crit you for 3 - 4 thousand dmg in one shot even more with better +dmg gear, and stacked trinkets (all the time) in the end theres only one class that suck in pvp, Pallies :) 1on1 that is ^.= oh and ya that trinket is pretty nice with full epic gear the mana cost isnt @#$%, you thought mages were bad? wait till you get hit with that trinket and the zandalarion charm stacked on top of epic +dmg gear your looking at one shotting mages all the time seen it done it, and yah if your smart you can avoid being counterspelled :X figure it out. Watch pvp videos of good shammies, but hey it all depends on the player not the class ;) -cept pallies :)- also dont count killing shamans if you have epiced out gear over them and they dont, meaning they suck.. the fact is obvious why. all classes are great and fun some are only meant for some things its a fact live with it.take the trinket put it up the pallies @$$ they will like it.

It's not that good.. I was hoping it was typo and that it reduced the casting cost. Sadly, they make it even more expensive for a Shammy.

You can deal some serious damage with this active, NS, and Chain Lightning. pew pew pew! :D

In 1.10 because of this tinket we will be the only class able to double damage trinket anymore since its ability is different than ZHC and ToEP. Therefore this would be a huge investment in pvp.

might be a nice toy for ele shaman in PVP.

but for resto's as i am this is useless.

20 second internal cooldown, you can't use any of the "shared cd" trinkets at the same time unless they last for longer than 20 seconds.

also takes 20 seconds when equipping before it is usable.

This trinket is particularly useful on Vaelastrasz in BWL where you have infinite mana anyway.

Or in certain boss encounters where you have to burst your healing when nuking the boss like Shazzrah.

Otherwise Zandalarian Hero Charm is generally better for your mana efficiency and has only 2 min CD. Obviously you can't trigger both trinkets at once...
