Those stats are pretty nice, but what's up with that equip bonus? A healing totem costs 125 mana, and a mana totem 184. An extra 20 points off is REALLY going to help out.

Also, that icon is awesome. :)

This item is not rolled on, and does not drop from any mob. It is awarded to you for reaching a certain level of faction with the Zandalar tribe.
At every new Zandalar faction level you are eligible to receive a new amulet from an NPC on Yojamba island. You simply turn in your old amulet, and you are given a new one. The better your faction, the better the amulet:
Friendly: Uncommon amulet
Honored: Rare amulet
Revered: Better Rare amulet
Exalted: Epic amulet

I'll go for the epic one once ive got the set of other stuff
The equip bonusus for the set are very nice and you need the necklace for the set to be complete.
If your a shammy that doesnt use healing and mana totems....your a crappy shammy :)
My guild is running ZG twice a week so its just the matter of luck on the coin drops and the voodoo dolls for the rest of the set

No matter how you look at it, the equip ability sucks. It's a little over +1 Int which only applies when you're casting one of those totems which are already quite mana-efficient.

Of course, the stats are nice and its needed to complete the set, but it's so much worse than any of the necks other classes have. Just look at the priest, mage or warrior one and you'll see what I mean.

For those Shaman who are currently running ZG:

How often do you have to cancel your mana spring totem to drop a poison cleansing because your group gets poisoned? I think this is a pretty awesome equip bonus, but that's just me. The stats are decent and if you really think about it, the equip bonus is pretty dang good if you switch between the water totems often, ultimately resorting back to Mana Spring. Combo'd with talent points, this thing will rock.

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE.
That equip is terrible. Im a shaman and I raid. If you dont have enough mana as a healing shaman on a raid for you too look at that and go...meh. You suck. Find a way to improve your mana pool. 20 mana on a healing totem is retarded, likewise on a mana totem. Look at the other classes equips. Ours blows choad. Thanks again blizzard for the fat FU.

Ok look. the stuff for this necklace drops in ZG. For most guilds, stuff in ZG doesnt cost DKP anyway. in that case, why not take it? it makes a great set.

Lore! You can never get enough of it can you? Well i'm gonna post a little bit of lore about each of these ZG neck items for those who care. Voodress Village is the last troll holdout on the goblin Isle of Kezan which used to be occupied completely by trolls.

So i got the green necklace when i went to turn in rep. Unfortunately for me, it was an upgrade. Looking at this, i think the stats are great, but the epuip is REALLY lacking. I do use mana spring and health stream in MC and Ony, but 20 mana? seriously blizzard. I maybe have to recast every minute. Thats 20 mana saved every minute. OH WOW WHAT A LOT OF MANA! Also, looking at the trinket, i'm kinda thinking WTF BLIZZARD? Lightning Shield damage? I mean, yeah i use Lightning Shield in PvP and all, but seriously, couldn't you they have made it more useful for end-game shamans? Otherwise i have no problems with the set though, the peices all look nice and i look foward to getting them.

I'm glad the exalted enchant was so damn awesome or it would have been a COMPLETE waste of 21,000 reputation. The one and only reason I would ever even consider wearing this necklace would be for the 2-piece set bonus with the chest, while wearing the earthfury belt and bracers.

By itself, holy christ is this thing a sorry excuse for an epic. I currently use Frostwolf Advisor's Pendant over this. 4 mana per 5 seconds>9 spirit and a garbage equip not even worth 2 intellect per totem drop. Slap about 6 mana per 5 seconds or maybe 5-10 more int and I might consider it an epic... a decent one, anyway.

It is, as a general rule, useless, even with 1.11 patch making it effected by total +healing. Although there are some instances where it is good to have...
I cant think of any good examples, but i am assuming they are out there.

This necklace's on equip bonus is almost worthless, but its free and the stats are pretty damn good (and you'll be getting that rep anyway).

I could understand that as a minor little "Oh, thats kinda cool I guess, every bit counts" bonus on a piece of one of the shaman tier sets or something, but this set is obviously more PvP/DPS oriented than any of those, so its both useless and out of place.

But its still free.

FFS noobs, sure this neck on its own has a lame epuip bonus, but its the last of the 5 piece set. So judge it as though it also has the 5piece bonus on it as well.
so thats exra 5yds on lightening bolt range. heh still not a lot better :p

Yes, but how much is str helping you in MC/BWL, etc? Those are when we drop down our mana totem most, and str isn't doing crap for us then. If you're going for something for PvP, star of mystaria is decently comparable without the equip, and it doesn't require exalted with a faction to get. Take off the str, put it in another stat, and it will be better. :P

I don't like the Passive. I rarely use Mana Spring or Healing Stream. My water totems are used for Poison and Disease cleansing, and Mana Tide if we need it. Water totems are a bit too underpowered to be very useful.

However, the stats and set boosts make it worthwhile.

the other classes's epic necks from this set are sick. well, the pally one looks lame but regardless why the shaman hate? -20 is pitiful. in 1.11, they said that they're lowering the mana costs of healing and mana totem so maybe then it could be useful, but only if the totems use like 40 mana now ~

i use mana spring on most fights... and -20 mana means that not only is it giving a few hundred mana to group members while i wait for my enamored water and mana tide totems to be ready, but it saves me a bit of mana too.

Granted it isn't a GREAT effect, but it does help

What a load of crap. I use mana spring in raids but -20 cost? Worthless.

And the stats alone are only blue quality, not epic. Hell, the warrior blue version is better then this, quality-wise.
