Is this a ZG drop?
and yeah, i think the cape should be in the set as well. all 3 items are definately aimed at tank classes.

If you are not a warrior and roll on this ring dont be surprised if your blacklisted and never aloud to raid with that group again.

Defence pally/enchant shaman

First things first warriors yes they are the main tanks and yes they should be able to roll ahead of pallys/shaman, but if a pally/shaman can use it then they should have equal chance to roll like a warrior, considering they have good skills/talents to increase there chance to block.

Shamans only get a +5% chance to block in talents/skills in total, which is pritty crappy if u ask me, they need something to boost there block chance.

Pally are a little better but still, its only around 35% chance to block when crited not very often in pve, but they also have a +30% chance to block talent skill BUT its a total waste of mana in my opinion. In total that 65% chance to block IF u get crited, and u use a huge chunk of ur mana witch wont last for ever, they also need something to increase there block chance hence Defencive pally.

As for warriors they are the main tanks and yes they should be able to roll ahead of pallys/shaman but if a pally/shaman can use it then they should have equal chance to roll like a warrior

where is the panther aspect found and ya if ne one rolls on this and is not a warrior I wouldn't play with them in a raid ever agian and UP YOURS!

As a feral druid I'd like to say that this item is pretty much useless for us. And if your raid group let you roll on this Vs a warrior or paladin I'd be pretty surprised. All we get from this item is 11 stam and +1 dodge, really not worth it, as a feral druid in ZG you should already have better rings than that.

Dont even worry about it. the people making these kind of comments are used to PUG loot systems, and are unfamiliar with thinking of how loot will benefit you as a group rather then just theirselves. By the time they get ready to get MC and ZG gear, theyll come to their senses. Whether it be experience or just the realization that it would be stupid to waste DKP even if they get a chance to get it.

Good luck killing Hakkar if u take your tank's defensive and damage mitigation items "ZOMG NEED!11!"

People are really dum if they think they will roll need, or roll at all. If you actually got this deep into ZG you are with your guild with a ML or one serious pug group.

Either way in my guiild we dont spend Dkp on blues even nice ones such as this. So when it droped for us I got given it naturally seeing as all the warriors were fury/arms and im protection.. 1+1=2 fury wars dont use sheild I do eazy decission. This brings me to 25.34% block and thats all I need, 100% block on sheild block now so thats great. Overall kick arse item

my main is a paladin, I would want this ring NOT for end-game, but instead to help out most of my lowby friends/guildies, running lower level instances where a block drains an attack
1.warriors tank end-game instances, period
2.paladins cant hold aggro NEARLY as well as warriors, get over it.
3.most paladins admit that they shouldnt tank in end-game instances, warriors ASSUME that they want to tank with this gear
I can get a great amount of block, and damage when I DO block, if specced for defense
again, I will state that I want this not for END-GAME TANKING, but lower level instances to help lower levels through instances and such...
obviously I wouldnt be rolling on this the FIRST time it dropped, I would roll/DKP when we are doing ZG for random items after the MT got this a LONG time ago. and we got the instance FARM STATUS

Edit: some guilds dont need to do ZG and are focusing more on other instances (MC, BWL, AQ20/40, and coming soon necropolis), and therefore running ZG would be ML (if guildmaster organized) or need before greed...

the only purpose of getting that ring is if u have a shield that procs when blockd, like force reactive disk, pallys can use that as well as warriors. there are much better tanking rings out there.

im a paladin and i sucked at DMG,HEALING,AND tanking... DELETED my lvl 60 charter because i couldnt use it to anything i tried all specc but Palas just sucks... sry but they really ^&*!ing do... they can heal but priest and druid are better and also shamans are a little better. tried DMG but locks,DMG warrior, mage, rogue and DMG shamans are better and not to forget that FEARAL druid are also better in dmg than DMG paladins... i tanked also in an Instance once HOLY COW... ITS REAL A DRUID IN BEAR FORM DOES BETTER THAN A PALADIN EVEN IF PROTECT SPECCED! and it was not because i didnt have bad gear i got all my Equip blue and 5 or 6 of them Epixx...

So dont choose a paladin if you are about to create a new charter... FFS DONT!

I don't know why ppl get pissed at this.. isn't your guild doing ZG? I bet there is no pala or druid discution here.. coz no one gives this to a pala or druid unless all warriors have it already.

remember that a class that is ok at everything: palas, druids for instance, can't be great at anything. you can heal and tank and DPS, so you can't be great at tanking or healing or dpsing otherwise tehre would be no point in having other classes in the game. this is obvious tanking gear. genuine tankers must have it prior to anyone.

I got mine on our first guild kill. It replaced my ancient Ring of Protection, and my Dodge is now well over 18% w/my Bloodlord Defender equipped (I still prefer my Quel overall for the proc).

A lot of people still don't appreciate what dodge (and parry) can do for a tank. :)
