This is one of the trinkets acquired by defeating four bosses in the Edge of Madness section of Zul'Gurub. The bosses are Gri'lek, Renataki, Wushoolay, and Hazza'rah. Each two weeks the current Edge of Madness boss changes in a predictable rotation, so constructing this trinket takes a minimum of six weeks. Most would consider it well worth the time invested, as this trinket should scale well to level 70 and beyond.

Renataki's Charm of Beasts (Epic)

Use: Instantly clears the cooldowns on Aimed Shot, Multishot, Volley, and Arcane Shot.

Hazza'rah's Charm of Magic (Epic)
Trinket
Classes: Mage
Use: Increases the critical hit chance of your Arcane spells by 5%, and increases the critical hit damage of your arcane spells by 50% for 20 seconds.

Gri'leks Charm of Valor (Epic)
Trinket
Classes: Paladin
Use: Increases the critical hit chance of Holy spells by 10% for 15 seconds.

Hazzra'rah's Charm of Healing (Epic)
Trinket
Classes: Priest
Use: Reduces the casting time of your Greater Heal spells by 40%, and reduces the mana cost of your healing spells by 5% for 15 seconds.

Renataki's Charm of Trickery (Epic)
Trinket
Classes: Rogue
Use: Instantly increases your energy by 60.

Gri'lek's Charm of Might (Epic)

Classes: Warrior
Use: Instantly increases your rage by 30.

Hazz'rah's Charm of Destruction (Epic)

Use: Increases the critical hit chance of your destruction spells by 10% for 20 seconds.

Yup, this is THE best hunter trinket. Imagine the burst damage:

Aimed shot --> Multi-shot --> free auto-shot --> trinket + ANOTHER Multi-shot --> dead whatever you were shooting at.

Someone said that this trinket is inferior to the other classes' trinkets. As a matter of fact, ours is just as good, if not BETTER.

Someone else said that Multi-shot replaces auto-shot. It does NOT. Multi-shot is an INSTANT attack with bonus damage, similar to a warrior's Mortal Strike, or a rogue's Sinister Strike.

I just thought I would clear this up for you guys.

Having this trinket is awesome. If I am correct the CD on it is 3 min. If you did the level 50 hunter quest I strongly suggest you equip both at same time. You can get 2 aimed shots off with good crits and get more dmg being done. then use em again in 3 min.... Sum of the fights in BWl and MC are over 6 min long..... Damage here u go.

I would just like to say everybody who thinks you get a "free shot" is a bunch of @#$%ing idiots. They obviously don't know how the shooting system works.

Wow, I've seen some really dumb suggestions here as to shot rotations with this trinket.

Basically there are 2 scenarios with 2 slightly different shot rotations you can use.

1. If you get the jump on your target and can get off a free aimed shot, you may not even need the trinket. But here's the rotation you'd use anyway:

aimed - multi - trinket - scatter - aimed - multi

Alternatively, you could also use your second multi as soon as you use the trinket, maximising your burst damage in situations with lots of varriables (people healing, hitting you from behind, etc)

2. If your target sees you at the same time you see him, the fight will likely look like this:

scatter - aimed - multi - trinket - multi - arcane

It's more than likely you won't even get a chance to get your last arcane shot off, but you'll have made a large enough dent in the target to be able to either finish him off in melee or fiegn trap him.

Used correctly this trinket can tip the scale agains pretty much any class. It destroys mages, warlocks and druids especially well. I'm not sure how I'd ever kill shadow priests without it.

Edit: Just to specify for everyone, scattershot lasts for 4 seconds and has a 1.5 second global cooldown (just like every other ability in the game). So technically that only gives you 2.5 seconds to aimed shot, but in my experience I always have time to get my aimed shot and just about always have time to follow it up with a multishot.

Best combo for hunters with this wuld be ;
Aimed - Multi - Scatter,Feign,Freezetrap - Trinket - Aimed - Multi - Raptor strike. They wil be dead.. :)

We will have a Readiness, that clears all our cool downs :D
So we don't need this trinket, or maybe yes?
Then we could restart our cool downs 2 times Muahahaha

i would get them in freeze trap if i could.. then aimedshot. else i would just do like this. anyone would get an execution =)

i have a 60 hunter and after that patch awhile back made Aimed shot and Arcane shot on Different cooldowns this trinket is not so hot, but screw crappy lvl 60 stuff the Xpac is coming out in 13 days, Woot!

I efing loved this trinket... have had it for a while now... last patch before the BC complete nurfed it, i thought i had a solid trinket all the way to 70, but after all i was mistaken, ty bliizard!

I just want this set just for the hell of it and i have the rest but have no real idea how the hell to get, yes i have read all the comments but maybe i misread or something cause im all confused. Just simply i would like to know how to get it... i have got the doll, i have never enchanted because someone mentioned needing enchant but not sure...

any help would be much apprieciated. thanks

still a second arcan or multi is kool in BG u can cunssusive shot to ppl to slow them down or multi 2 time for more damage

Far less pvp/pve usuage than readiness woulda been. Can't think of usuage for aimed shot... maybe a aimed+multi+trinket+scatter+aimed+multi opening... but other than that, any time you want to do a 2nd aimed (after trap or wyvern), you got the time to wait for the regular cooldown.

This is basically just to cut your multishot cooldown in half.

This trinket is not effected by the global cooldown and also clears not only the regular cooldowns for the spells listed, but also clears the global cooldown.

Using arcane shot as an example, if I macro'ed this trinket, i could easily fire off two arcane shots before the first one hits.

You need to kill each one of zg summon bosses: Renataki, Wushoolay, Hazza'rah and Gri'lek. Those change every 2 weeks during maitenance and you need Gurubashi Mojo Madness for each summon. After you got all 4 items you can combine those with your class voodoo doll and voilá !

This item no longer removes the cooldown on arcane shot as of patch 2.0.3 - so now it's 90% useless as opposed to 80%. Still not nearly as useless as the Arcane Infused Gem, though.

all the effort, for a double multi shot (as if you are gonna use it to get 0 CD on arcane shot :p) really worth it?

although when you can crit 2k or so with multi shot, 2 in a row would be pretty sweet :D

Using this to clear your Aimshot cooldown for another aimshot would be a total waste of time. You have to think about global cooldown.

A fight would probably look like this:
Aimshot, Multishot, Trinket, Multishot, Arcshot

Especially with those nasty barrage/full GS Builds together with a big slow weapons, some people use these days. Uhm, this combination can probably destroy everything in a few seconds. Guess i have to sign up for more Zul raids asap :)

since our guild no longer needs gear from this instance we hae been farming the idol bosses and the edge of madness bosses. every two weeks a new boss spawns in this area and they drop another piece. no quest is required and once all parts are obtained all you need to do is get the voodoo doll and right click it for your trinket. as for location of the boss, anyone who does zg has agro'd the imps who run around. the boss is just up the path.

Hi!
I’m a hunter and want to start with Charm of the Beasts and then somehow in combat switching to Royal Seal with help of a macro/addon. I only found 2 macros, tested 1 but didn’t worked. How do you other hunters do it?
