These things are cheaper to make/buy than Major Mana Potions with two stiff drawbacks. Obviously they take twelve seconds off your DPS/Healing time, but even more annoying is that the potion shows up as a magic debuff while active - and can be dispelled by friendly healers. Make sure they know what you're doing when you use this.

Useful for raiding purposes, if it's practical for you to be out of commission for that long. The main complaint I've heard from users is that a trigger-happy dispeller removes the magic effect too soon. It uses the same vial as its lesser version, but more expensive herbs.

I made the mistake of taking one of these during Nef's phase 2. For the record fear will take you out of your dreamless sleep. Really made me mad because then I had a 2 minute cooldown on all of my pots and no mana.

Otherwise I love these on raids.

If you're taking DoT's, it will awaken you thus limiting the effectiveness of this potion.

hate to burst your bubble but both this potion and holy prot potion are bi-faction. as are all potions.

I see Holy Protection Potion recipes on AH all the time...
So these are avalible to both factions

anyone know if this works like if the boss were to put you to sleep (no aggro / ice block effect) ?

reduce aggro so you can stay asleep the whole time?

This is a very good potion in certain situations, but you cannot say that it makes mana pots obsolete. Mana Potions are instant, and let you keep casting right after you pop one, but this potion gets you out of the fight for 12 seconds... for a rag fight this would be pretty useless if you want to dps him down before adds.
good use would be for ony, if you dont get feared during phase 3.

This potion is great in fights like Rajaxx @ AQ20. If you are rich and can afford, you can keep your manapool 100% for every wave by popping one of these inbetween waves. Owns major mana potions by far with guaranteed 2,1k mana (and health).
