I got my scroll in the game email system along with Decoded Twilight Text. I deleted the decoded Twilight Text. The text is not necessary for game play as far as I can tell - it's just a load of useless info.

As for the scroll, it is optional whether you keep it or not. By combining a rugged leather and a dense stone, you can create a special crest. There are 4 possible crests created in this fashion (Earth, Fire, Water, and Thunder); just look on your scroll to determine which crest you can create.

When summoning one of the Dukes at the "Lesser Wind Stone" (not the one marked "Wind Stone") in Silithus, you can control which of the four Dukes will be summoned according to your special crest. Just make sure your special crest is in your bag.

Why bother with all of this? Well, each of the Dukes vary in difficulty to kill. Earth is the easiest, and the others grow in more difficulty. I am not sure of the order, all I know is earth is one of the easier ones.

The Crest of Beckoning is used on the Lesser Wind Stone. I had a group that tried this three times on the regular Wind Stone and they always said they never received an option as to what to summon.

I thought they were crazy, until I tried this myself, and tried it on a Lesser Wind Stone. Sure enough, I recieved an option to summon, (in this case), an Earth Elemental, which I did.

Now, I'm a Warior. Me and a Rogue friend of mine have been able to two man every single elemental from the Lesser Wind Stones with no problem at at all, so I don't really see the point in wasting ingredients on these Crests of Beckoning.

is that you can get signet and scepters of beckoning to control the drop off the dukes and the princes...those guys have very specific drops so youll want to control which one you summon. they are in this list https://www.wowhead.com/classic/search?q=n&pl;=on↦=on&zones;=70

Yah i'm a hunter and can solo all of them, except the water one is tough because it uses frost shock and frost nova so its hard to kite it. The air one does really strong shocks but if you go all out dps and kite wisely there all possible- with a pot if nesecary =)
Earth one is defenitly the easiest, just kite it.

You could always just drink a pot of greater protection- its like giving you an extra 3000 health for the fight.

Subject says it all... when you use a crest of beckoning when you do a summons, is it consumed?

What the heck does this do! i bought on ah and now i dont know what to do with it so can some one tell me what you use it for?

You use it when wearing the Twilight cultist sets to summon out a specific templar... Hoary Templar to be exact (eliminates the randomenss very useful if your farming the polearm like i am at the moment)

the crest allows you to choose the templar that will be summoned at the lesser wind stone.

you still need a twilight set.

this one force a water templer to be summoned
