This wep sucks for a hunter, had one drop from the summoned elemental in silithus. but yes when a hunter melees he goes for an extremely slow wep for higher raptor strike crits which is the only melee attack other than wing clip a good hunter uses.

I got this 2day from a stone templer and i am a hunter

I summoned the guy who drops this and soloed him, he killed my pet, i used all my mana but was able to take him. He dropped this, its BoP, but useless to me as a hunter. It vendored for 6g though! woot!

for hunters strength adds one attack power and agility adds one attack power
so that strength = attack power

Actually, its 1 melee attack power per 1 strength and 1 melee attack power per 1 agility. For ranged attack power, its all agility.

im a 60 arms warrior, and since the polearm i have right now sucks i wouldnt mind getting one of these, thinking about coming to silithus to farm one.

ok for all the noobs out there ...

Hunters AP formuae is

Melee AP = str is 1 ap, Agi is 1 ap
Range AP = Agi is 2 ap

1. In regards to slow weapons being sucky for hunters you can stfu. Raptor strike = +160dmg on next swing aka hits harder then MS and doesnt suffer from speed normalisation

2. This is dropped from a templar which is &*!@ing soloable so if your bringing 5 man groups to kill these you suck at life

3.Hunters cant melee...

Aimshot crits for 3112
Autoshot crits for 1382
Multishotc crits fpr 1610
Raptorstrike crits for 1554

but hunters suck at melee ... iamshot multi rotation is a 10/11sec turn around in a pvp situation u WILL be in melee range during that rotation cycle Conc slow = 4secs, wingclip = 10 secs. so smart hunters use this cycle rotation to hit melee range drop wingclip and raptor on top of each other in a single swing (on next hit attacks can be performed simutaneously with an instant attack) and move the #$%^ back out. living at 41 yards while dealing optimal dmg in pvp is a $%^&ing dream.

now this isnt a great hunter weapon im not encouraging hunters toget it im just mearely correcting noobs who comment without a clue

this is even better than Ice Barbed spear for Attack power, +15 str or crusader and it will outdmg IceBS, i have tried them both on my warrior, very nice polearm
