This is *the* best feral ring in the game. +4 weapon damage in cat form = +4 dps = +56 AP = ~23 strength with 5/5 HotW.

Confired today with Gm on Haomarush server. This ring does *not" work in feral form, making it totally useless for druids. Screen shots available of the conversation upon request.

so if i get this right +4 weapon damage are the same as 14 AP in cat form?
or did i miss anything...

I got this ring a week ago, and as far as I can tell the effect is exactly the same as +4 weapon damage enchant.
Except that the ring effects ALL eguipped weapons. Mainhand, offhand & ranged weapon all gain +4 damage.

Rather awesome I'd say.

Sent a ticket about it and according to the GM it doesn't work in feral, its added only to weapon dps.

Anyone know what is the EXACT effect of that weapon damage +4.

If i switch to that over Don Julio, i'll lose 3 stam, 1% to crit and 16 ap for 4 weapon damage. Is it worth it? I don't think so but i'd like to know what this +4 weapon damage does exactly, if anyone know please post it :)

To those who have it, is the +4 added on before calculating instant attacks (like the +weapon damage enchants) or after (sharpening stones)?

If this works on Ranged attacks as well (which it should from description) this is the first boost that Ranged get beyond Scopes. A Straight +4 would be better on a faster weapon I guess then a slower but either way it is a plus...I will let the DPS masters tell me what it works better on

Consider the following assumptions for a hunter:

2.9 speed bow
20% crit rate
30% bonus to crits from Mortal Shots

Assuming that the +4 weapon damage applies to bows, it will increase autoshot damage by 1.74 DPS, or about 24 attack power. Multi-shot damage, assuming a single target, goes up 0.4 DPS. This is nice, but not huge. For comparison, a +1% crit rate with 1200 base attack power adds 15.6 effective attack power.

However, with fast dual-wielding weapons, the difference is dramatic. With a 2.2 speed main hand and a 1.5 speed off hand and +5% to hit, that +4 weapon damage adds about 3.5 DPS (49 attack power) to auto-attack damage. The difference is bigger with faster weapons. Plus, that weapon damage will be multiplied by various rogue skills and greatly helped by more +%hit gear.

I petitioned a GM today to ask whether the ring works for Feral forms, and was told it was outside the realm of things GMs are allowed to discuss.

So far, no one seems to know.
