I personally got this before the patch, and I have to say the extra 10 AP that is gives is actually very beneficial.

New ranks of hawk were always 20 rap increases, I was expecting the same. An upgrade is an upgrade so w/e.

Well perhaps they are thinking more along the lines of long term planning for the expantion pack. Perhaps the minor increase is just to hold over players once they increase the level cap. :)

Maybe Hawk VII will be only Found

and Hawk VIII would be you know..learned

Though that would be silly.

Also keep in mind that tiss still just a game.

You guys are forgetting that this is a 10 attack power increase regardless of what equipment you ever get. Eventualy, we will probably all replace most of the items we have on our characters, but this upgrade will stay with you. Sure it's not amazing, but it's not going to take up an inventory or enchant slot.

also its been two lvls since your last rank up even though it would usually be a longer period of lvls before we would get another rank.

i dont care even if it is an extra 10 ranged attack power, its still 10 more than i would have otherwise. it would still give me some extra dps, which means i would kill things faster, which means that what im fighting has a lesser chance to squash my body to a dwarven pulp. it would mean killing things a fraction of a second faster in UBRS LBRS strat scholo MC ZG BWL which may prevent a wipe if at the last second things go horribly wrong (which they have). any hunter that would say no to this item must either be crazy or not do much solo'ing or instancing (solo grinding elites FTW)

but if you look at the rest of the tomes found battle shout increases by almost 50 shadowbolt by 20-40 etc. rouges get like 4 books at least same with mages you will see that this is a lame book and i really hope its not the only one that drops in a.q. 10 rap = 5 agility i could get a leg enchant for 8 this is not epic lootz......

Better than nothing, but really, it's kinda suck. The Multishot book is the best out of the three, and the Serpent Sting isn't terrible (but c'mon, it's Serpent Sting fer Chrissake). This should have been 130 RAP at least.

Remember the first dragonstalker bonus set: with that u reach 144 rap with aoh. Nice.

The books you get from AQ20 is the best loot in AQ20 imo.

Dont forget... All skills of a higher rank require the previous ones, remember?

IE:
Aimed shot: Rank 3
requires - Aimed shot: Rank 2

Just to train it... Blizz thought ahead, Now to get the new skills, you must first pass the "bare minimum" skill to get through AQ and get your skill tome. Mind you, some may not be able to... but they arent MANDITORY skills...

Expansion is comming out...which means more to grind to what? 70 so i have been told. Why would you buy this book when you might be able to train in it?

It wouldn't surprise me if blizz decided to give no more training at class trainers at all, so maybe the only way to get better abilities in the future is by getting books like these ones.

Compare it to the way you get to skill 300 in some professions, till 250-255 you can get new stuff at the profession trainers and after that the only way to get to 300 is by getting recipes/formulas/patterns/schematics at vendors or as loot (or auction house).

Just some thought......

I won this Friday night. The wild thing about it was I got asked to join the raid cause they were short. I NEVER win in rolls but did this time.
Glad to have it and like others said, it doesn't take up any slots or cost anything. So go whine about something else.

I, for one, would love to see a Guide: Mend Pet VIII. I am BM specced, and feel that the amount that Mend Pet VII heals is barely tolerable (then again, I feel that Major Healing Potions don't heal enough either).

A better mend pet would be great. My pet dies while i use mend pet becuase it does'nt heal enougth. Ofc its only when i over agro my pet is dying(i dont do it alot, but sometimes it happens)
btw the gun that drops in AQ20(maybe in AQ40 too, i dont know) is cool ! when it shoots some kind of purple dust comes out. Yay ! I got it tonigth, and it looks so cool when i shot. The sad thing is that i just got +7 dmg on my old gun. The same day i get a new ! Thats a little sad, but i got a better gun, thats all that matters.

110x.2 = 22

So you gain 12ap off of this rather than 10 if you have the set, still not amazing but doesn't hurt.

I wouldn't pay money for this, just take it if it drops :]

Looking that the way the talent builds are for thte other classes (hunter talent and spell updates say "coming soon") as well as new spells it doesnt look like a new aoh will be available. This is probably a final bonus for those who raid.

Too you ppl complaining about how much this book sucks, and that you would rather get an AGI enchant, for crying out loud you can have both, if this book dropped for you in AQ you wouldnt roll on it because it only has +10 rap? If you ask me that would be stupid, +10 rap is still better than not having it simpller than that it doesent get, stop complaining about it and if you think it suck so much give it to a hunter that really wants it, alltho i think all hunters should want this.

while we were waiting for the time to be 18.00 to do BWL we went AQ20 just to check it out...

went smoth and so on whiped first try on that sand bug (didnt know about the traps)

aoth rank 7 and agi totems dropped...

not any diffrent..you wont make any diffrent..

nice to have tho ^^

? no info on the actual Rank, or how much attack power it gives. I presume 120+ coz the average highest possible rank is *i think* 110 Ranged+Normal attack power O.ó
