You get this box with some random BOE greens, and scrolls.
and a recognition signet. : https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=52384 for alliance.

The box comes as lvl 10-20-30-40-50 Item level. probably 60 as well.
This quest item will only be available during the AQ world event gathering.

After turning materials in on 3 different toons, it certainly appears that though the boxes are named identically, the contents of the boxes are proportional to the level of the goods you turned in.

For instance, from turning in copper bars you'll get something along the lines of a first tier scroll and a level 9-12 green. For turning in thorium bars, you'll get one or two 3rd or 4th tier scrolls along with a level 50-52 green. Same goes for linen vs. runecloth, etc.

As far as exchanging tokes for boxes, turn-ins of 30 tokens has always resulted in a box much like the "high-end" material turn in; ie. on par with the thorium/runecloth turn in.

yo get greens of the appropriate level, 40+ for mageweave bands, 20+ fro heavy leather, 15- for peacebloom, and some scroll of the same level, not sure if the blues levels are the same...

Got a Ring of the Underwood from one of these. Pure luck I assume, the other 15-20 all contained worthless greens but that was the easiest 90g I ever made.

I recieved an Archaic Defender from turning in Silk Bandages.

Actually the whole box contained in order:

A lvl 32 "Uncommon" pair of leather gloves of spirit.

A buff scroll.

Archaic Defender.

How nice that you still get an uncommon item too :P

i figured these would have a chance for blues as soon as i got my first one... but i turned in 15 stacks of rc bandages, some mageweave bandages, 2 stacks of rugged leather, some heavy leather, some light leather, some tin, and some copper... and in the about 25 or 30 boxes i didnt get a single blue

at least i got like 2250 rep with darkspear

it might just be bad luck but the blue chance is probably under 3%

So far I have gotten so marginally useful scrolls if you bother to use them, and vendor loot greens. Some guidmates have gotten some blues so far though.
