Apparently a reward from a quest called "Treasure of the Timeless One" in Silithus

One of the 4 rewards from "Treasure of the Timeless One," which is the final link the the Ahn'Qiraj sceptor quest. This quest chain can still be completed after the Scarab Gate has been opened, and it begins with the quest "What Tomorrow Brings" (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=8286) in Silithus.

You're pretty much going to have to have acess to an entire raid team of your own to complete this quest. It's expensive and will take you all over the game, to many raid bosses including some world encounters that take 100 or more players to complete.

This is a reward for completing the AQ Scepter Quest Series and is not a drop within AQ20 or AQ40.

The quest series begins with Baristolth in Cenarion Hold with a quest to "discover" the Bronze Dragons at the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. The follow-up quest is to collect the head of the Broodlord Lashslayer, third boss in Blackwing Lair. The series continues from there with literally dozens of quests. Some are soloable, some are partyable, and some are raid quests. In the end, the quest series ends with the creation of the Scepter of the Shifting Sands, at which time this item may then be chosen as a quest reward.

Please note that as of this writing, the legendary mount for completing the Scepter is only available to those that complete the quest within ten hours of the opening of AQ on their server.

There was a spectacular detailed scripture about How to do the scepter quest and the quest in between that someone had wrote . I just started it and need the info. Please bring it back.

Even though the gates were opened, I finally finished this quest line. Took a long time and the help of some great friends and guildies.

In order to get this quest does it mean that i have to wait for a new server to open and do the quest within 10 hours of the server opening or does it mean ever time AQ is restarted.

its good to see blizzard pay tribute to illidans old commander and (til his death) commander of the resistance to the first burning legion invasion. (see: War of the Ancients trilogy) he was a kickass commander, and this sword better look amazing.

I think most guilds will be going for a tanking weapon attitude towards it due to it's speed, obviously some won't particularly care but that's not my problem =)

I'd probably laugh at a rogue using this in their main hand though, that would be humorous.

Havent seen this before nor heard of it till i got WoW Model Viewer. Its very sick looking and whne i put it on a Goblin i though it was 2h.

to bad it's only for those that completed the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. So technically all it is going to is yeah who your server decided to open the AQ gates.... not that I don't appreciate all the help <3

It's a reward given after talking to the guy by the gong/ringing the gong at the AQ gates...

just wanted to post that ravencrest was the general of black rook hold. also the general that led the resistance against the first coming of the burning legion but was assisnated in the middle of a battle
