Very close, stats wise, to Touch of Chaos (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=19861), which is kind of a bummer considering how harder it is to get this one (killing the bug trio with Kri last, who has an AoE poison bolt spell your raid will have to deal with for the time it takes you to kill the other 2 bugs, Yauj and Vem).

Slight upgrade from the Touch of chaos, which drops of hakkar, but good for guilds that don't do zg(besides broodlord and Jin'do for https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=22637s which are used for the nice head/leg enchant.

Wands useless? Never!
Atleast for Alliance, judgment of wisdom + wands -> very nice mana recovery in raid instance encounters.
And this one even has a very nice dps. Gogo Priest army :P
Would really rock if druids could use wands aswell ;)

Why would Warlocks and Mages not use wands? Great damage, without costing mana. And yes guys, it does happen that sometimes mages or locks get out of mana, what then? Melee the big bad mob?

And not to mention the good spell damage bonus and extra stamina make it a must for any lock and mage(and priest of course).

Remember, any mage who's geared well enough to get this, should he be remotely competent, will basically never run out of mana.

Locks should be using dark pact or the HP to mana ability if they're out of mana.

A good mage can hit about 400 DPS pretty easily, and that's with frostbolt. He shouldn't be stopping to wand. Though, obviously, this wand is the best in the game for that purpose. It just doesn't have that much over a lvl 54 green considering it's rather harder to get.

This would of course be nice for a PvP priest, should he actually use a wand, though still seems like mind flay will serve you better. Otherwise, the stats aren't really that good for a priest. Not very much healing, not very much stamina, no int or spirit whatsoever. And if you're purely interested in regenning mana, get a stormrager or other 1.3 speed wand; it'll get mana back 20% faster than this does.

My basic point is caster itemization sucks, for the most part.

well to aswer @ lvl 70 whe will all have probably have more hp and mana and dmg then 200 is ueless while ur firebaals/frostbolts/shadow dus evrytime 2000 dmg sounds imbba and to come back on that nobody use's wands yes! i do when in MC im going out of mana il wand with my stormrager !

so it is absolutly not true that wands are useless

Believe it or not, some of us prefer to play the game rather than waxing lyrical about who should have the wand. I log on to Thotbott, search for priest epic wands so I can work towards getting them, see this, go "ooh" then proceed to read through pages of arguments that have nothing constructive in them. Please if you are going to post, provide some helpful advice..

Now, can someone please tell me.... drumroll.....
how do you go about getting this wand?

if you want this wand for ONLY the damage plus, why not just get the dragon finger of whatever spell spec. your in? i mean, it gives +20-21, not just 19+ to all, i mean, thats the best way to get your spell dmg.+ for your important spells, fire or frost mages definatly, if your looking for the best dmg. plus,even shadow priests and locks too, plus, its much easier to get!

Isn't this a Priest weapon? I mean warriors, rogues etc. get so territorial about weapons how about Priests? With the Priest first tier Wand skill, that thing is made for a Shadow Priest.

My Shadow Priest will be working on one of these before too long. It's a dream come true for my guy, if some hunter... "forgets" & needs it, I will be more than a little irritated.

oh yeh sod touch of chaos i want this instead, i know the difference is only 1 to dmg and healing but it has stamina and bigger dps, not that the wand is a lock priest or mages main source of dps but i guess for grinding or when you for example wand your mana back up with judgement of wisdom until your mana potion cooldown is gone so u can use another pot then its cool, but with the offencive spell and healing spell boost its a dam nice piece of kit

I think everyone is missing something here... this wand does shadow damage... therefore it is best for locks or shadow spec priests.

Imo priests because imgaine the damage with this + shadow form + shadow vulnerability.

Imo you're stupid or have no idea of game mechanics... This is a mage wand cause shadow damage is damage mages DO NOT have and will be usefull for attacking enemies with hight resistance to their magic school of expertise... Warlocks have shadowbolts while shadowpriests have mindblast/SWpain(though mindblast is not intended for nuking), so they do not need SD wands.. btter get a frost/arcane/nature damage wand for your priest...

The stats are awsome for all casters though(priests could use the essence gatherer better... Mage>Lock>Priest IMO....

IMO this is Priest/Warlock Wand.
Most mages go frost specc, and while we're all idolizing, the perfect wand for frost mage is Cold Snap.

Listen. This wand is great for any caster, be it mage, priest or warlock. The reason? Not the damage the wand does itself, but the damage it adds. It adds damage to all schools. Frost, fire, shadow, arcane, nature and holy. It simply increases the damage of all spells.

And the damage the wand itself does has nothing to do with whether or not a priest, warlock or mage should use it. It's a great addition for all casters when they run out of mana.

And "most mages" don't go frost spec as mentioned earlier. A lot of mages do, but a lot of mages choose firespec as well. And come 1.11, we'll see a LOT of elementalists. So there's no reason to prioritize one class over another. This wand is great for all casters. Period.

Rofl.. This wand really does suprise me. Looking trough Raged weapons I see a little ole' Wand with 102.2 Dps and 1.60 speed! This weapon is ultimatly the best Ranging weapon.. too band my Rogue can't use it =P Or I would own in PvP.

Stood there in stealth wacking people with 200per 1.60 seconds like Shamonoxide
said. Lol, I think I would come out of stealth, But to stay in while doing it "Even better" Hehe.

Not horrible for priests either =). Highest +healing epic wand even though we got essence gatherer with nice regen.

Mages cant really utilize the 102.2 DPS as they are already a nuking class. Priests, because of wand spec (mage wand spec WILL be removed soon) can gain a lot extra damage.

But i cannot deny the great +damage for mages eventhough its a MINOR upgrade (an extra 1dmg 5 stam) from the touch of chaos.

This wand isn't just for priests, its for all casters. It says spell damage and healing, not just healing. Nice wand to have 19 spell damage and healing. I'd roll if I was in that setuation having the chance.

Wack wack wack wack every 1.60 seconds, and slaping you for about 200 per hit... thats going to pile up a big pile of hurt... who needs spells haha.

getting this during phase 5 is difficult because you cant get full raid to +200 NR also the CC NR recipes will be released during phase 6 which make this wand not worth it while there is big upgrades from Naxx and Touch of chaos is easier to get from ZG
