Assuming this thing is on PPM it looks to be about a 0.4 PPM proc. If it is a static chance proc it is about 2%.

235 swings
5 procs

Granted my sample size is fairly small, but I only tried it long enough to realize it is fairly useless to me.

For anyone who wants to test it themselves in ProcWatch, the proc is called Flame Lash.

Hm nice item, but i would prefer the Darkmoon, Maelstrom card. This item proccs with fire dmg, and most of people wearing t1/t2 have some nice Resistance against Fire.. Maelstrom proccs with Nature dmg, where the Resi of most players is much lower as against fire..

Well, pallies already rely on procs, so why not grant them some more of them?

Confirmed that it procs in cat/bear form.

This is a new Trinket, yes.

The procrate I got was recorded by the inbuilt damage meter in titanbar.
It records as Flame Lash, and yes it can crit.

After a day of around 8 hours WoW and nearly 1000000 damage it procced around 3% of the time.

Im a feral druid, using it in bear form.

When it procs it casts a fire globe on the target.

Using ProcWatch, 4100 dual wielding attacks yielded 139 processes, 1 process every 29.4 swings and 1.5 processes per minute.

Just got this nice trinket, screw wasting money on the darkmoon deck, on average it procs 1 to 2 times a fight plus when it procs i usually get 2 procs ina row.

After testing through a full zg+aq20+bwl+aq40 run, proc rate came out to be 1.9ppm or ~5%. Generally hits for around 150.

heh i lied i dont think +spell dmg and effects works for maelstrom for some reason i thought it did but still looking at up to 1000 dmg with both proc

Even without using any procwatch add-on, you can tell this thing procs quite often, at the very least once a fight but more like 2 to 3 times. Ideal for DW as it adds with any other enchant you might have slapped on your weapons. Basically its like having 2 fiery only much better... and for free.

This is great PvP item, but so is Maelstorm deck. Does any1 know do this 2 items stack? if they do, +Blackhand's Doomsaw proc... well, just imagine ;)

Okay so you may think i'm a noob for not knowing this but i'm a girl and don't really understand some of this crap that has to do with proc, percentage etc...
But my question is, I have this trinket on my mage, and I want to know how it works. Do I have to be using my sword/staff/dagger (whatever) for it to proc? Or will it proc when I use my spells...or wand even. Thanks in advanced

You're all wrong here, the darkmoon card is very superior to this in that it does work with all instant attacks, which is why it is good for SoC paladins, fury warriors and Feral druids. The card can proc off of instant attacks and other procs like SoC that count as melee attacks, trust me I use it and I've seen it, same thing happens with my Jeklik's crusher. As far as this Item, since it is a ppm instead of a pure chance, it too has the same effect. Stack up on chance to hits druids and pallys!

This might be a bonus over maelstrom for certain dungeons where the mobs have immunity to nature procs. However, I do not know if such a dungeon exists; and even then its hard to compare the two, since maelstrom is an epic and this is a superior.

As far as who-gets-it, I'd say it'd work for fury warriors, combat rogues, and paladins (unsure of their talent tree), and feral druids. However, I think that around this level of play paladins and feral druids might want to focus more on healing to get prepared for raids, since most raids don't like DPS paladins or feral druids. So, there might be better choices for them.

I got this while waiting for the faire to turn up to hand in elementals deck few months ago on my 60 warrior, I think it works similar to elementals deck (certain amount of procs per minute, instead of a fixed percentage chance to hit), though I dare say it procs more often! I have tried using both maelstrom card+heart of wrymthalak together but Hand of Justice is a lot more favourable in any case.

this thing sucks.. ive had it two weeks now and ive yet to even see it proc once, not sure if its bugged or not but i never see any of my victims go up in flames at all.

How does this compare with the Elementals Deck (Maelstrom) ? The damage is less on this, but what about proc rates?
