Drops from the optional boss Gahz'Rankha in Zul'Gurub. While using Poly: Turtle doesn't have any strategic advantages over Pig and Sheep, it's very rare and can help to distinguish multiple CC targets in areas where more than 1-2 sheeps are needed. Plus the turtle is my personal favorite being a mage~

tome of polymorph turtle dosent help you in the battlefield but like sheep and pig its just a fun thing to get. and if you have two diffrent mages one can use sheep and the other can us turtle seperating them so you know which one to keep polymorphing

We have now a sheep, a turtle and a pig... Where is the rat?

We had the childrens week (as usuall) this year to. If you've done all the quests there you got to choose between a pet turle, pig or rat... The rat is the only one wich is missing now. :D Where is it? :D

To summon this boss you first must pick up Nat paggle's measuring tape in ZG. There is a fishing spot with some broken bottles etc... there should be a lootable item on the ground.

After delivering the tape to Nat on his small island in Dustwallow Marsh (loc 60, 60) he'll teach you how to summon the boss. The tome is a random drop from it though.

Since the patch came out, we've downed Gahz'ranka 4 times, and this has dropped every time.

LOL there is no giraffe polymorph! the picture in BWL is from the Nefarian fight, when he makes all the mages poly everyone into random animals

I hate to say I am saddened by this spell. Spent 4 hours fighting in there only to lose to a mage that was summoned in to raid with us as we were engaging the mob. And now they are talking of knocking this off the raid schedule.

When TBC hit stores every mage can get 4 polymorph spells from his trainer at lvl 60 :

Sheep
Pig
Turtle
Cow

i got on my mage on my first ZG run with him i was like SWEEEEEET ill take a picture and post it later Poly :sheep Poly:pig and now Poly:turtle so much fun.

Seeing people don't bother reading the posts, I'll say it again. It's just the same as the regular Polymorph, except it looks different so you can tell the targets apart

I saw it drop and won the roll on it on our first ZG raid ever! Is it really a 4% drop? If so, then I was super lucky indeed.

Something that I don't see mentioned anywhere is that there are 3 different turtles you can polymorph into. You can get a normal-looking green turtle, red turtle with a black shell, and a black turtle with a black shell as well - seemingly random with a 1/3 chance each. It's also a lot bigger than a Pig or Sheep, so(hopefully) less likely to be broken on accident by inattentive players.
