Actually Fasiq, you are thinking of Idol of Rejuvenation that drops from the summoned guy for the tier .5 quests. Idol of the Moon is a random world drop, meaning you can buy it from the AH if you were desperate.

It seems to me that this idol has lost a lot of its value since lower ranks of HT have lost a lot of their value. I suppose I could be wrong about that, but that is my initial assessment. The idol with +125 healing is much better, and if you are a tree form druid, the Harold's Rejuvenating Brooch is obviously preferred over this one since you cant even cast HT in tree form.

This idol had its day, but I would say it has been eclipsed by expansion content (along with just about everything else from the old raiding days).

I'd say this drops in Naxxramas. If it would drop in AQ40 it would have been posted her long ago, since all common loottables from AQ40 are already being farmed and a lot of raids regularily kill C'thun now.

This business of "UP TO 25 mana" makes me think that it scales with the rank of HT used. i.e. If you use a lower rank (or shorter base cast time, who knows) you get less mana back. Of course, this is mere suspicion on my part, but considering that there is similar wording on +heal items I thinks it's a pretty reasonable guess. Either way, time will tell.

Where does this drop? My Resto Druid would love it! I have the cat one,but hardly use it, unless soloing the Deadmines or something like that.

For a resto druid that's doing endgame pvE to drop swiftmend is a bit crazy imo.

got this and its just imba

spamming HT6 on fights like patchwerk on any fight where u are constantly spreading heals about results in the equivalent of 23mp5 which is just drooly

the difference is very noticable

When you do 40 intances.. the more usefull thing for a healer is MANA REGEn...

so with a good mana regen gear + that. you can heal alll the fights with out even worrie about mana.. and THAT is USEFULL

If you are using ItemRack, you can attach this to SPELLCAST_START and SPELLCAST_STOP events for Healing Touch; Since you can swap Idols in combat, this should allow you to use another Idol for other spells and just switch to this one when necessary.

In the modern Classic era, quoting a below comment to confirm this is basically never worth using. If you're the low rank HT spamming type of druid, it comes out to a miserable amount of MP5. Don't shard it but don't use it over other better idols nor spend DKP/Gold on it.
