This could be a beta item that would let you understand other languages, since it says "until we put languages in". That implies they haven't put them in yet. So...either they forgot about it or they decided not to put it in.

I say, you can hear the opposite faction talk.
That would be cuz of "This potion has no effect until we put languages in."
Or just, someone have to talk to see the effect

Notice how it says not work until language put in?

Maybe in an earlier patch there wern't different languages!

I can only speculate as to what this thing does, but I really have no idea. If someone knows, please inform me.

i bet everyone 100g, that this elixir of the tongues, when imbibed will make you know all the languages for like 5 minutes or 10 so you can read anyone speaking in any tongue since BC is spose to bring horde and alliance together to fight on same side and aid the world in the great battle to come like the AD person says in BL at the dark portal when fighting the demons for tabard quest, hence being able to listen to the horde.

This along w/ many other language barrier breaking items/uses were made and usable in Beta, were taken out before the game went live. Lotsa posts alrdyabout this. Bliz has said nothing about implementing it, as of yet.
