Ahhh...this dagger I personally have seen its effects. I have a rogue on a server, and was lucky to be able to dual wield these at one point. The thing about these is that they have a Rend effect, and well my rogue was dual wielding, so with 2 Rend effects, and my Rupture, we're talking about massive damage over time. Very useful in the battlegrounds when facing enemies. All you need to do is get Rupture on the alliance or whatever your facing, and if the dual Rend thing happens, watch their HP start to drop! If you're a rogue, these are a MUST HAVE! A bit pricy, but like they say, you get what you pay for. Basically, you'll be causing with the dual Rend, already 60 damage of damage over time, but we all know that it actually causes more than that depending on your stats.

Does anyone know if the wounds stack? Say if you hit the target 3 times AND the wounding effect procs. Will it do 3pts every sec for 30secs per wound?

this proc does stack with other effects (warrior rend, for example) but does not stack with itself.

I've farmed 2 of these now for alts, and got one off a Screamer and one off a Siren.

the cash isnt bad farming this dagger either. Most mbs have 1sp 20cp on them, and it adds up as I run along the beach raining Moonfire down on the scaly abominations.

I got it killing screamers ( Right next to Dun Garok, forget what the beach is called). I got it around my fifth kill.
It's a good place to get XP and money.
Sold the dagger for 1.5 gold altough someone else offered 2, so it sells well. I did
/y WTS in ORG and got about 5 tells for it.
If you want it, go with a group or be aroun lvl 27 to solo it (depending on skill and all that).

Killed 15-20 with no drop (got 2 other greens though). Damn all you lucky people :( Tough to solo as a 25 rogue

farming for these is even more fun (and economical) because of the new fishing pools. i fished 3 ship wreckages in the last 15 minutes!

Bought one at AH for real cheap for my rouge when it was 25, 31 now and have yet to find anything there that can top it without spending alot more than I have. It's not a bad knife at all, and it will keep you set for a while.

Just bought this dagger in AH for 75s. Pretty sweet dagger. Seems to have a high chance to make the enemy bleed, since every enemy that I've fought have had this effect done to them during our battle.

My rogue 24 upgraded to this from a Pearl-handled Dagger. The proc has only bitten me a few times soloing, never been much trouble at all really. You can hear it and see it in the combat log as "Rend". It sounds like a warrior's rend or deep wounds, and has the rend icon which is the same as gouge. If you see that, don't try to blind or gouge.

Otherwise, enjoy really sweet ambushes and backstabs! :) Totally worth the 60 silver I paid in AH. The proc rate seems low, but I have improved ambush so fights don't generally last long enough for me to take a ton of swings.

A little Season of Discovery input on these.

Chest Rune Blood !@#$zy allows you to gain rage from this weapons Bleed Proc. MH/Dual Wield them up to 100 Rage, swap to 2 hander, rage dump, Brutal Hauberk+rage pots+bloodrage macro, Execute.
Thats mainly a lil pvp thing I tried out to great success, tough out here for Warriors in pvp.

Same goes for other weapons such as Bloodmaim 2H Axe, Bloodpike Polearm, etc to Gain Rage from Bleeds via Rune.

Using it in your Offhand is a great option for Deep Wounds, and its hard to find a good offhand weapon that can beat this one until you get Butchers Cleaver or Meteor Shard depending on your luck and need. Despite my RP of the Primarch, I only have seen the Cleaver drop once since SoD Launch in my many sfk runs, Passed it to the shaman tank. 17% drop on that things a lie. Ashenvale for Rep was a solid quick option for the Scout's Dagger as well.

Need to try these on my rogue, now 22. I'm also messing around with Wyvern Tailspikes and seeing if there's potential in a +Nature/Spell Damage build for your poisons.
I had a similar idea i was going to try with fire damage buffing via Red Whelp Gloves and double Meteor Shards, but thats Unique, and there are no other weapons in P1 that had fire damage Procs
