I think if it doesn't say dropped by or sold by then it is available from the Alchemy trainer as soon as you get up to the requisite level. Not 100% sure on this, but that is the way it is with other professions.

you can learn this potion from the trainer, keeping in mind that once you learn expert alchemy pretty much all potions must then be learned from the artisan alchemy trainer (darnassas for alliance)...

any idea how much i might charge someone for a stack of 5 of these? would you charge more if that person was using the potion for a crafting recipe? charge less?

I would suggest selling these to leathercrafters in stacks of 2, though. They don't need 5. I sell for between 20-25 silver per potion. I had a guy yell at me for under-cutting his prices. I don't sell enough for it to really matter. I am too low level to get Wild Steelblossom easy, and strangle kelp is a pain, since I am a non-druid.

yeah these things are way overprised, the first 2 guys I asked em to make em for me asked me 40s ea and the 3rd was willing to give them 20s ea, so I added him to friend list right away for when I need to make more gloves :P

People complain about these being overpriced, and yet they can't get stranglekelp themselves or venture into the semi-dangerous areas rich in wild steelbloom. Gee whiz...

I've found it best to circumvent selling via AH, and I just sell to a private leatherworker that makes the gloves. I charge him 20sp each, and when he buys in bulk he gets a discount. I gave him 14 for 2.5gp the other day. I can make a few stacks in a few hours so I keep him happily stocked (something the last guy couldn't do).

I think this is something that you get from your guild. The AH sells overpriced junk. One person in my guild could make this stuff for me and in exchange, I made him the toughened leather gloves. The AH for the most part sucks because it's overpriced. And yes I always undercut the supposed "market", so it can be corrected. Law of supply and demand. I've tried selling market price before and it usually never sells.

Stranglekelp is easy to get if you're level 25+. Simply farm VIscous Fallout till you get a hydrocane. By farm, I mean instance Gnomeregan over and over.

i have a 55 warlock and i still make a killing off these. leatherworkers need them to make rare gloves at a lower lvl so they're always in demand. i sell them in stacks of 2 for 1g. locks have an underwater breathing spell which makes getting stranglekelp no hassle.

I think its fairly decent for 2 potions for 1G .. Leatherworkers use this to make toughened leather gloves which they will sell for like 5G a piece..
Lucky me ima druid.. And with aquatic form I can breath underwater and swim 50% faster.. so stranglekelp is no prob

Nobody can find these on my server. (The new Dalvengyr server). I had to buy each for 1g in AH, I consider myself lucky because, other people will pay 4g for both. (Same with Elixer of Agility) But I didn't buy one of those.

At the european server (Burning Legion) a stack of 5 goes for 4,5 g's a piece! This is overpriced though i think...

I was thinking that would start a charector so i could make lots of these so i could toughened leather gloves as a source money, Is it worth raising the charector or should i just buy them from the AH? aslong as i farm the rest of the materials it should be worth it right?

LOL, if it could be that vendor would be camped to hell. For the low-low price of 3.2 silver you too can make 1 gold selling toughened leather gloves

this is odd but gives u lots of $$$$$$$. 4g for 5 sounds good to me. another great potion is the growth one, if ur lvl 40 or up like me(lvl 55) drink the potion then get on ur mount... fricken funny (even better for an orc warlock(like me) because they are arleady to big for their felsteed, so u go even bigger....... also a gnome would like it. hahahahahahah i kid gnomes so midget and stuff lol) gnomes dont feel bad ok its not my fault u were broght into the world with a stunted growth... just joken u little gnomes get out of traps quick which comes in handy

you cant buy it from a vendor it can only be made or bought from an auction house ... why dont you make a new character who can start alchemy and hearbalism?
