Did this for Cyclonian with my warrior. By the time I'd harvested 30 drops after 90 minutes, I'd already levelled to 36. The Shamen are very, very nasty in groups and AoE frequently. They tend to stick together despite the best pulls so you may end up doing a few 2-on-1's here. Bring a friend if you're a low-30 character going to do this for Cyclonian.

Only the blood scalp trolls drop it, and just because you couldnt do it doesnt mean its impossible, just extremely difficult.

most of the bloodscalps are easy as crap if you're 30. However the warriors are a pain in the ass because of their constnat use of Disarm.

This takes quite awhile if you're char isn't twinked, which mine is not. I've been here for about an hour and a half and have about 14 now...

They are located at the northwest corner of SV. They are probably best to start taking them on at about lvl 33 for teh warrior quest.

It says QUEST ITEM, so you have to be on the quest to be able to loot it.

ya what i said be4, and no u can't farm this item aka, YOU HAVE TO BE ON THE FREAKING QUEST OR ANOTHER ONE THAT DROPS THESE ITEMS

(and doing this wit a friends is a lot easier cause i like have it)

If you look carefully at the page you can get a map for where you can get these.
Failing being able to cast arcane intellect on you, here's an explanation: if you look in the "dropped by" section, there's several links labelled "map". If you click on these, it will show you a map of where the mobs that drop these are.
The same goes for any other item dropped/looted off ground.

Im a 32 warr, I had a 51 pally with me and we stil died 2 times, took about an hour. But I bet the axe is going to be worth it!

Just a heads up to Warriors who were looking to combine the two quests Cyclonian (needing 30) and Hunt for Yenniku (needing 9). The two quests do not stack, but rather over lap, so when you think you have enough tusks for Cyclonian and you go to turn in the quest Hunt for Yenniku, you have to go back to get 9 more. So do one or the other but not both unless you have the time.

These also drop from other Bloodscalp tribals. I got drops from Bloodscalp Scavenger and others, so just feel comfortable killin them all. For the HORDE!

These drop only for the person that has the quest for the (Cyclonian) <---Warrior Quest for Whirlwind Weapon

I Also wanted my 60 to farm them for me, but...he can't =(

Do these always have a chance to drop or do you have to have one of the 2 quests? I wanna get my 60 to get the tusks for my 30 warrior quest.

Took roughly 1 hour to gather 29 and 30 minutes for the last ones. Seriously.
I would recommend having a good friend either the same level as you or someone higher to make it easier.

My friend, 32 Druid, and I, 33 Warrior, did this together in a 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Tip: Shamans are a pain in the ass.

Perfectly doable at level 32. Trolls are level 33-34. Keep running in circles around Tkashi Ruins and take on trolls one by one. Bring food/bandages and pots just in case. Grom'gol is near so if you run out of food you can buy more. The graveyard is also very close to Tkashi Ruins so corpse runs are short, but if you are careful you won't die. Should take from one to two hours to gather all 30 tusks.

Warriors disarm and scavengers apply poison (so you can't use bandages). Shamans burst with fire nova (150-200 damage) and use lightning shield (~80 damage every time you hit them) so they are the hardest.

Don't think you can take on two at once. You can't.

An incredible pain in the ass to farm due to low droprates and nasty mobs. If you want to rush the Whirlwind weapons from the Cyclonian quest at a lower level, it's strongly recommended to bring a high level friend to help you with this. If you have such a high level friend, it's also strongly recommended to farm in the ruins in northwest Strangethorn Vale, since there's an abundance of (slightly higher level) mobs there that also drop the tusks.

Don't forget that there are 2 quests that require these tusks: Cyclonian (30 tusks) and Hunt for Yenniku (9 tusks). It's convenient to farm for both at the same time. Strictly speaking you need 39 tusks total, but because when you hit 30 tusks you've technically met the requirement of both quests, you NEED to make a trip in between to hand one of them in so the tusks can continue to drop.
