This creates a large circular bomb with an antenna on the ground where you place it. It takes 10 seconds to "arm" before it will go off, during which time it emotes to the area 'goblin land mine will be armed in 10/5 seconds' or 'goblin land mine is now armed'.

Any agro enemy will set it off once it's armed, and it detonates for a freakish amount of damage, hitting all enemies near it. (I'd guess it has a 5 yard range, but its hard to tell).

Unlike a hunter trap, it is immediately visible to everyone once it's placed and it says '<soandso's guardian>' under its name. If you place it near an agro enemy, they'll probably start attacking it immediately and might kill it before it goes off if you do nothing.

If you expect your fight to last longer than 10 seconds, you can drop it next to monsters you are fighting already. It takes off about half the health of a 30 elite. Typically, I'll drop one before pulling a difficult mob, wait for it to arm, then pull it over.

Since it's visible and immobile, I doubt it would be very useful in PvP, but haven't tried it. I'd assume a caster or hunter could blow it up from a distance.

I've used this on a Hunter, a Fury Warrior, and 2 Caster toons. It's solid AoE dmg when, combined with any of the AoE's your respective toons have as well as a good stun-bomb, can run the gambit of saving your tail from an "Oh Sh1T!" aggro situation to just AoE farming for kill quests...not to mention turning an Elite Boss fight well into your favor. Here are some tips:

Hunter/Lock- If your pet can soak the dmg, then have them round up however many mobs you think it can handle and keep aggro on. Run up, Place mine. When it gets to 5 second countdown, throw a sap-bomb like and Iron/Thorium Grenade, Frag Bomb, Big One. This does burst dmg and Sap long enough for the Mine to finish the job.

Warrior- Same deal, only consider yourself as the "pet". Rack up Fury while the mine counts down and follow the instructions above. Great way to do this and to keep aggro off the mine is to bleed each mob around you and maybe Hamstring potential runners. Once the bomb goes off, AOE like crazy with Whirlwind or Cleave.

Mage- Since a mine aggroes, it can also be used to pull, but I don't recommend it. If you're suicidal or have a healer with a HoT or Shield, just run, drop Mine, Frost Nova, run back, and follow above instructions. Or just run in and place near main tank in groups for added burst before you Blizzard everyone to death and hope the tank is good. LOL

Priest- Generally same as Mage and hope your Shield holds. Also same for group play.

Rogue- Meh. Like you guys need this, but I've seen a Rogue do some amazing things while his mine was arming. He Vanishes, then BOOM right before the mobs Evade kicks in!

I'm sure there are more strats with this, and look forward to hearing them. :)

**EDIT-Thanks to Blizzard's lame Cooldown Nerf on all explosives, you can't use Grenades and Mines in the same battle...so the best bet is to use the highest dmg explosive device you can for the situation**

Superior bomb, make a LOT dmg. Even bombs at higher engineering lvl dont do so much dmg, probably because you cant control this after placing it on the ground. Except from that, this bomb is something really making engineering a nice profession. The cost to make it is not so bad either :)

this bomb schematic is a drop in SM and a RARE one at that, it comes in the chests witha 0.2% drop rate at the highest. . I suggest if you find one you sell it for as much as possible (if not an engineer) or if your an engineer USE THE SON OF A B1TCH ! ITS WORTH IT!

i found this baby on the auction house for a whole 15 silver buyout. cant wait to get the engineering to use it :)
