Ok, I'm confused about the suggested AH price, is this for each Clam Meat, or are they for 10 pcs? And does this apply for all stackable items at WoWHead?

if u want to farm those for whatever reason go to silverpine forest and kill murlocs at the beach northwest of fenris island. the murlocs are level 11-13, took me 45 mins to farm 35 as a level 34 druid. the murlocs drop nice level 6 requirement uncommon stuff, too. :P

The clam meat can be farmed from the "Vile Fin" guys around 58,18 in silverpine forest.

Many of the 18-20 wrathtails on the Zoram Strand, Ashenvale (s of Blackfathom instance, n of Zoram'gar Outpost) drop clams, all had the meat, one had a small pearl, too. My 28 sham got 11 in 5-10 min., but I was really looking for the frenzys (skin for shiny fish scales for water breathe spell). Now i gotta go around Auberdine. *sigh*

If you ever get really bored... play the Clam Meat game. Pick an item on Thottbot and keep disenchanting it until you get Clam Meat. You'll almost always get there... all roads lead to Clam Meat.

Best place is the coast immediately south of Auberdine in Darkshore. The pygmy tide crawlers are 9-11 or so in level and drop a lot of clam meat (8/17 or 47% drop rate) as well as crawler meat (4/17 or 24% drop rate) which is used in the "crab cake" receipe that is slightly more advanced than the "boiled clams" recipe, so once you train up on the clam meat you harvest, you can switch right over to the crawler meat to continue training the cooking skill.

that was great all the way from 65,12 to 56,26 are murloc/vile fins lvl 10-14 so easy to kill as a 33 shammy it was so easy to get that clam meat and igot my cooking to 80 getting them

I should also point out that Murloc's DE into clam meat.

In under and hour, had 8 stacks of clam meat, 5 stacks of crawler meat, and 4.5 stacks of claws - off the spitelash naga around the BFD area. Great drop rate. Friggin' everything drops a shell, which has clam meat.

For Horde:
-Get Cooking to lvl 35-45 with Spice bread
(you can get skill and ingredients at vendor and teacher in org).
-lvl up to 65-75 with boar meat(you can learn skill in org).
-then lvl up with scorpid surprise (you can buy recipe at razor hill).

-Now you can make boiled clams. (these you can find at Zoramstrand (lvl 18+) / the vile reef stv (lvl 35+) and below ratchet (lvl 13+))

In senjin's Village you can buy Slitherskin Mackerel and Rainbow fin Albacore recepy at the fisherman at coords: 56:73. If you want to get fishing skill or have some of there fish you can level up with these too, after the scorpid Surprise. lvl (80+)

then you can buy the new upgrades at Zamja in org for boiled clams.

Found in shiny seashells, the best ever by far farming spot I've found is the beach of Westfall. There are actually 2 locations where the crawlers respawn at a very quick pace. I was able to get from the crawlers and murlocs 5 stacks of 10 clam meat in about an hour. Start at the fishing dock and work your way down the beach. :)
