My 28 druid got wiped out by him and his 3 minions, 1 by his side and 2 more after a few seconds.

Came back in cat form and Shred him and nailed him with 1/3 Health left, and other 2 minions never even showed up.

Was easy the second time!

Solo him as a 21 warlock. wasent even hard.

cords r right on it 24,60. but i had to kill him a couple of times to get it.

there's somthing new now near the orc.. it's a SEMI elite (silver dragon) Lev22 named artikus or something like that... Now it's kinda hard to just waltz in ther in stealth like one of the guys said. once you shred the guy 2 fellhounds his minion and the semi elite all come to his defence..

I'm a lvl 23 Warlock, i need a full team to get him. No time to drink or eat. When you not kill him in 40 secounds, the watchers and the Deathbringers are respawn, and adds!

You know you're near the boss when you see distinctively red pillars on your map. In that area the path leading up the hill should be there and that's where the boss is.

level 24 druid

pulled felslayers one by one with starfire/moonfire/faerie fire, shifted to cat, finished 'em. that left ilkrud and his succ.

stealthed, ignored succ, went for ilkrud: shred, rake, claw+++, just tore him to shreds. with his last breath he summoned a couple of VWs but i looted the tome anyway. they killed me. i returned to find his base empty, rezed, looted some cool green bracers from his chest and legged it. job done! :))

i also saw some big 35+ wandering protectors on this quest... funy thing is they didn't protect me at all, hmmm lol

GOt him at lvl 22 , i'm a rogue , just focus on him , kill the summoner ( ilkrud ) and the summoned creatures die ! easy , just keep jumping around !

lvl 23 hunter and lvl 22 pet killed him very quickly. Umm I just happened to kill his first minion becuase i didnt want her to bother me so then i killed his first minion. Then killed the sad old ORC then i sent my pet in on the next two minions shot them both with nice spell to make them nice and weak... shot a multi-shot then everything was dead. this all happened in about 18-25 seconds including the loot.
Since i couldnt stealth or anything i just focused on killing the other demon things one by one and sooner or later found the weak fool at the top of the first path u see to the right.

Very easy. I surely overestimated this part of the quest....
I forgot to get his chest though.. i didnt even see one...

EASY for levels 21-25

Nailed him as a 23 Paladin (Retro Spec'd). This includes his Succubus and two Voidwalkers. Had Devotion Aura on judged him with crusader and stunned him. killed his succubus, then him. Ignored his Void walkers until I finished him off. Bubbled, healed, and finished them off.

I did have to heal, and died once just to figure out my gameplan. Overall though, not too hard. Anyone who had to have someone help them, or level up before fighting him is either an absolute noob to WoW, or just don't know how to play their class yet.

I body-pulled the two felhounds before fighting him. Just gotta wait till the walk away from the guy. Otherwise you might aggro him.

If you can't handle the voidwalkers, finish him off, loot him and run. If you die, just rez and head back to Maelstra's Post. Might as well cause the felhounds and felguards respawn pretty quickly so you'll probly have issues getting back if you go reclaim your corpse. That's up to you though... I'm just lazy.

I just completed quest as a level 23 druid. It took me dying about 4 times to figure out a strategy, but I did it lol. I went in and cleared out the immediate area around IIkrud Magthrull by pulling each demon separately with nothing but my spells and wiped them out that way. Once all surrounding demons were killed, I used cat form and crept right up to IIkrud and swiped him from behind and killed him just before he had a chance to cast the voids. Then I quickly rooted the succubus and healed myself and proceeded to beat the snot out of her in bear form. I picked up the tome and left without any problems.

anyone who says this is easy i soloed it with a 21. then your obv lying ¬___¬
i couldnt even do this at a 25.

Just soloed this as a lvl23 hunter no problem,pulled the fels 1 by 1 with concussion then put pet on em,once they were dead I pulled ilkrud and ignored his add,when he was almost dead the voids spawned on me,killed ilkrud and ran away from adds with pet passive, once away from ilkruds body i made bear growl which taunted all the voids,i ran back to ilkruds body and looted it,passiced pet again and when voids reached where they spawned they despawned
