Y does the key stay in ur inventory after the quest "The Den" is over? Do u need it for another quest?

Ont one of the first platforms there is a well looking thing that uses this key called "Gate keeper's cache"

Yeah, just trash it. If you are Horde you can also trash the Horn/Whistle item that you use to tell the Orc NPC you're a friend. At level 60, he's not going to attack you anyway. He's level 40 I believe. There are too many of these useless quest items in the game that don't need to be in your inventory.

This is an item in the quest "The Den", required to obtain three other keys in the quest. When I finished the quest, I still had the key, and I'm not sure why.

Reading the earlier posts and info, I thought this was just a random drop.
You can find it in a lamp just outside the Den, on the left of the entrance ramp.

I also have this in my bag and I have finished the keys quests and killing the Keymaster quest.

As best I can tell, it lets you into Stonetalon peak & begin the quest there

I looked at the lamp that earlier posts described on where to get the key, and it says "requires gatekeepers key" to open it (Druids Cache), any help plz?

Safe to delete Gatekeeper's Key when you have completed: The Den
