These fangs have, basically, a 100% drop rate. I'm doing the quest right now and haven't killed a spider that didn't drop a fang. And a vast majority of the spiders killed dropped two fangs.

they're not hard to farm at low 20s but the poison is so annoying! u can't bandage when poisoned, and they deal enough damage for u to need bandaging every 2 mobs... sigh...

Avoid the oozes at the area, they cast a 5 minute disease which reduces your attack speed by 25%.

At level 20 I noticed that it was easy to kill the level 21 spiders but the level 22 spiders took about 75% of my hp. So if you want easy kills, aim for the 21 ones ;)

Bring some food too, because FA is quite useless when you have the poison. Don't bother getting Anti Venom, unless you get lots of it... The spiders give you the poison back almost instantly after it's gone.

i also found some to the far east of the wetlands but i dont think they were supposed to be there

I cleared out the entire cave of Leech and Cave Stalkers and didn't get a single fang. Did they set the drop rate to 0.5%?

Was 100% drop rate with each mob dropping 1-2 fangs, then at 49/50 they stopped dropping, and I have so far farmed out half a level for that last fang.

Not only, but I could swear the same thing happened to me on the same quest stuck at 49/50 on a warrior of mine from a time long since forgotten... except in my buried subconscious.

Edit: So two hours later, after reaching 25 from killing the spiders for this quest item and being stuck at 49/50. I decided to delete one from my bag, taking me to 48/50... Sure enough the next spider I killed dropped 2 bringing me to 50/50.
