The Bonewarders and Shadowwarders are found around 50,48 in the Angerfang Encampment. The Rods seem to drop fairly often off of the Bonewarders.

The item only drops if you have the quest and plenty of people kill these mobs that don't have the quest. That could account for the low percentage.

but its hard for an alliance warlock, too. there are many quests located in ratchet and other places in the barrens ;)

Doing this quest now as an UD Warlock on Arthas. Didn't have any trouble getting to the Wetlands, I just flew to Tarren Mill, ran south to the coast, keeping off the roads, and swam right past Arathi to the Wetlands shore, north of Menethil. From there it's not too far to get to the Angerfang Encampment. Haven't been ganked once, though I have killed a few horrible Aliance players.

This quest may be hard for those who can't defeat lvl 28's on their own. i do not suggest trying to solo the groups, but to pick the ones out without many orcs around them. this is what I did after dying 3 times and finding these 'straggelers' and completed it within 5 mins. (Ironicly, my help with Mobs came from an Undead Mage, and i'm human...which totally goes against the point og the game)

I just got these Rods with my lvl31 Undead Lock. Took me ages to get to the camp, went East from Hillsbrand and then south then swam around to the Wetlands once I hit the river. I play PVP (Frostmourne) and didn't want to get ganked but had a SS just in case. Didn't die once but was close going through Arathi due to the high instance of lvl32 and above animals :) Drop rate when I got there was 3 rod from 4 so 75% for me

The best way to do this, imho, is to work your way in between a couple of camps and slowly pick off all the single warrior type mobs. Once you have cleared the path, start pulling the Bonewarders with Curse of Tounges(CoT) - while at the same time commanding your Voidwalker to beat on the mobs pet (Bonewarders Minion). You may want to throw a Curse of Weakness on the minion so the void doesn't get beat too badly. While your pet tanks the minion, nuke the Bonewarder. They are easy to kill and will rarely cast any spells while you have CoT on them. Once the Bonewarder is dead, finish off the minion. Took me 8 Bonewards to get the three rods. Not too bad of odds!

These mobs respawn rather quickly, so you don't need to wander around killing unnecessary mobs, just stick tight and the Bonewards will respawn (about 5 min)

It only drops only if your doing it by yourself. I had a friend help me out on this quset and we were grinding for hours trying to get 3 Rod of Channeling. Then I thought lets try leaving party and doing it on my own and it worked. So if your with a group or party you will never get it.

Just play strategical and visit Wetlands at night, when the kids are sleeping (normally after 10:00-11:00) and it shouldn't be a problem. It wasnt for me atleast. And yeah, the droprate on this quest is pretty bad. It started all $%^&ty for me, but all of them dropped when I was on the edge of giving up, during like 4-5 kills. Yay!

And for gods sake, if you do run into ally warlocks at lvl 30, don't go all marshal on them as they might appreciate your cooperation. These camps are pretty tough to solo as you will agro like 2 additional mobs than the caster and pet.

its obvious that only bonewarders and shadowwarders drop them, in the quest description its says that only spellcasters drop them.

yep yep sure was easy, went the back way threw the grave yard and killed 3 and got 3.

47,43 for the back entrance

I entered the encampment from the 47,43 back entrance that was suggested. It worked well; as long as you run along the side of the hills, you only have to kill 1 or 2 Dragonmaw Raiders/Bonewarders (be weary, the Bonewarders have minions). These should be easy to take on, as most of them are around level 27 and I have had no problem killing any of them.

The Shadowwarders are a bit harder to kill, at least for me, because the hills are jagged and it's hard to find a safe spot to pull aggro. This is where I found the Shadowwarders (how you get to them is up to you, I still suggest the "back entrance":

The drop is great! When killing Shadowwarders (like the quest log says: the rods are on their CASTERS), I got 3 rods after only killing 3 Shadowwarders. Read, my darlings, read! :)

In an earlier comment, one told an easy way to wetlands. And it actually is... though it takes a while. Go southeast from tarrenmill and head for the coast. Kill a few daggerspine naga's and take a deep breath. Jump into the water, evade the naga's and swim towards Wetlands along the coastline. Much easier than evading the big raptors in arathi highlands.

When you get to the wetlands, go along the mountainridge towards Dun Modr. After the tomb, you can take the road to the right, travel over the gravejard, up the hill. Kill of a few orcs... it took me 5 minutes to get 3 rods. a 75% droprate. Not bad. Just let your void take the agro, cast Tongues on the caster and you will have no problem at all killing those orcs.

You travel longer than the duration of the quest. With or without the swimming.

This rod drops only off of their CASTERS! Drop rate from CASTER ORCS is about 50% I'd say.

Mobs are between 27-28 with 24 minions.

Coords of main entrance are ~42,43 in Wetlands.

Does it also drop from those creatures for the horde side?

When you enter the camp there are these mobs but they are surounded by 4-7 others. If you go deeper there is a set that you can pull with only their pets as adds.

Yo im warwarlock (level 30) were do the Rod Of Channeling Drop guys ure telling me what off but not were from :O!

I killed 3 of the mobs that had the summoned pets and got my 3 Rod of Channeling =D

I found my mobs up the moutian from the GY

Took me about 8 bonewarders to get 2 rods
i killed 1 shadowwarder and he dropped 1 rod

my voidwalker tanked 1 melee orc, 2 casters and 2 pets at same time, i got all but the pets and ran out of combat (my VW died though)

its too easy. but droprate is low for me at least

Seems like the Bonewarders have the highest droprate. I would reccomend killing those.

Fairly simple. The mobs with skeleton pets dropped them for me, 3 drops from 4 mobs :D

maybe you should read the quest before coming on allakhazam and taking the easy way out

Not sure if it's intended or a bug - the rod was NOT dropping when killing the mobs with Felguard (I've done this quest on my lock kinda late). So I killed about 20 Dragonmaw Bonewarders (which supposed to drop it), then read some comments here mentioning it wasn't dropping in a party and dismissed the pet, then it immediately started to drop.
