when i paid my 225+ gold in the AH for this, I was thinking I would be able to use a potion, a healthstone, and then finally the lifestone... 3 heals in one short period of time. Would be pretty cool and worth all that gold, except for one thing: it's on the same timer as my healthstone. Use one or the other. I'd rather get the 1200 hp heal than use the lifestone.

Just FYI

I have two of these, the regen does stack but when you use the effect on one of them it triggers the timer on both of them.

Pondered on it for a long time and bid on one at AH at 130G and won it. No one bought out for 180 so i won. I have noticed a difference, and with my 5 health every 5 secs with Valor set, its helping me stay alive.

The cooldown on the "healing pot" is 30 minutes..but it comes in handy since i do a lot of pvp and hitting it and a healing pot keeps me alive and finish off those HKs or flag defenses! ATM heading to Stormwind to turn in a Warlords Deck for lifestealing Heroism card. check my post there cause im going to be testing it out.

Shared cooldown with (better-healing) healthstone stinks - but if you use this first, you can use your healthstone 3 min later (only useful for long/boss fights, obviously). If you use your healthstone first, the 30 min cooldown on the lifestone won't let you use it in the same fight.

The health regen is fantastic for a grinding warlock, though. I got 2 of them at once for 132g, 135g buyout and the difference is huge - nearly triple what Demon Armor 4 alone regenerates.

I just finished first two instances with them - barely touched my food/water. Faster group gameplay after small fights (fewer mana breaks) and better survivability in long fights - what warlock doesn't want that?

Got one of these on my warrior, coupled with a Mighty troll's blood potion, I literally had no downtime when grinding. Kill equal-level mob, skin, charge next one.

Got another one for my lock, and will probably dualwield when I get hold of yet another. Add that with voidwalker sacrifice and demon armor, and you'll get some sweet, sweet health-regen.

I paged a GM about liferegen not working few days ago and I was told that no items with +health per second are working anymore in combat!

But he told me that this is a bug and that they intend to fix it later, 'cause you are supposed to have +health per second from items in combat, only not basic health regen.

Has anyone tested this again? I'm not using my Lifestone until this is fixed :(

Sold it for 110g the same day.

Got this today from a random drop in Ungoro Crater. Being a warrior anything that restores health constantly over time is a gift from the divine. Also having the 300-700hp heal is nice to have on tap in those "oh !@#$ emergencies"

As a protecion warrior it is funny when you fight a same lvl mob that you have good defenses against as you can keep blocking and watch your health slowly creep back up. Anyways if you get it and are a class that can't heal itself I suggest you keep it, warriors especially, selling it for X amount of gold isn't worth it imo.

Dropped in Stratholme . First I was pretty happy about it. My first epic. Wore it 4 a few days but then i got the Druid misc from Diremaul and the manaregeneration ( 11mana every 5 secs ) from Diremaul. Havent used the Lifestone for weeks. Now i am sada bout, that i havent sold it in IF ....

Perfect for a grinding warrior or any class that has low spirit. I use Troll's Blood potions when grinding and it reduces the DowntTime drastically. The "Use" portion is pretty lame at 30 minute cooldown...I have to agree. Also ... anything you can do while tanking to keep your Priests mana up helps. Ill use my "diamond flask" from the Warrior Quest in ST ... only 180 hp over a minute but it helps(the extra 75 strength helps too :p)

Just FYI to anyone who is not aware of this.

This is a world drop item (You can tell these as they are bind on equip).

This item has a chance to drop from any mob within a particular level range, from any mob of that level across the whole server.

The level range for this item would be 55 - 60, so you would want to find an area on 56 - 58 for ease of farming, I would suggest western plaque lands at the eastern two fields, but still even then you have a very very slim chance of actually getting this as well as you can see its only dropped 1 or maybe 2 from the same type of mob across all servers.

Have you noticed this baby gives you 4100hp in 1 hour of grinding? does your healing potion regen you 120hp per minute not needing to even use it and NOT COUNTING COOLDOWN?

its by no means better for a warlock. warlocks already have health regen from demon armor, as well as drain life, healthstones, siphon life, and using demonic sacrifice on your voidwalker (though some of those require talents).

its great for anyone thats grinding. health regen isn't a common bonus on items, and 10 health per 5 seconds is a large amount. the "restore 300 to 700 health" usage is handy too in case you get in a pinch while grinding, but its obviously not meant to replace potions entirely. unfortunately, you have to be level 51 to equip it, so you won't get a whole lot of usage out of it just grinding.

warriors have almost no skills to heal themselves, and protection warriors have none at all. having 10 health every 5 seconds could really help a tank out, and they'll be taking the hits when it really counts.

but, its really for anyone that can afford it and is willing to buy it, or whoever is lucky enough to find one.

I bought 2 of these for 40 gold each and I can rock any elite in hearthglen with downtime. I also can take out 3 players in pvp before I die to a fourth.

DO plus healing effects work on the life stones equip bonus of 10 health per 5sec and also does it work with the 30min CD. In conclusion will the spec that gives you 20% more healing effects buff this thing up to heal for a lil more health

I have yet to determine how people argue with the price of this item. There are hundreds of sales on record--so whatever you may *think* the item is worth, we know what it actually is worth.

That having been said--an extra 300-700hp isn't going to win a fight for a cloth/leather or even mail wearer? gtfo, that's huge. Talking about "just use pots instead" is stupid. It doesn't stack on cooldown with pots so whether you use pots or not, it's still an extra 500hp/fight extra.

Any time one of you wants to duel, please send me a tell. I'd love to humiliate the hell out of you and then listen to you whine about how using trinkets is cheating.

I recently got hold of one of these...I'm a level 59 warrior and see thsi of little use to me due to the slow generation of health. I have over 4000 HP so 10 every 5 seconds is a drop in the ocean - even the potential 700 every 30 mins is pretty poor - This is an EPIC item!

Decided to sell it and no-one wants to know - Have one offer of 60g max. Decided now to keep it for my warlock when he reaches 51 - this seems far more suited to cloth wearers to me.

Ill do alittle math for you since i just bought one and i only need one. How long is the cooldown for a healing potion ? Lets assume its 60 seconds.
So during these 60 seconds you will regenerate 120 Hp`s. Thats 1/10 th of the biggest healing potion in the game. And you dont need to drink it. And if you wore 2 it would be 1/5 th and its permanent as in you regen this as soon as you need to. Now how many warriors drink a heal pot every 5 mins ? NONE cuz they cant afford it :P

I think I'd rather equip this on my lock, just for that fact that warrior have access to the Pvp +HP/5 Trinket (not the AV one, the rune of Duty or whatever) That the lock just can't get ahold of. That being said, this trinket gives better HP/5 and has a use effect to boot...

That being said, I'm looking to get ahold of like 4 of these on Scarlet Crusade, PST to Kithkin, Tishara, Rozaline, Ashara, or Xionfyre in game!

Was thinking of getting one of these for my 51 warrior - glad i checked on here first - 30 mins CD....
I have ankh of life, i mean ok this lifestone has health regen too - but the 700-900 health @ level 51 is around the same as what the ankh of life restores for you at level 40, and that has 2 minutes CD, that is blue and this is epic - should be 5 mins CD on this MAX.
shame cos if it was it would be a real nice item

These are actually more useful than people seem to give to give it credit for. Not only is this the best BoE trinket for health over time regeneration, but there is only one other trinket better than this in the entire game which is dropped off Ragnaros (Shard of the Flame), which has less than a 5% drop rate (and 5% drop rate in a 40-man raid = not very likely you getting it). People !@#$% and moan about how it has a half an hour cooldown, but it should be the passive ability that is of merit, because it's quite easily one of the best health over time regenerations in the game for any slot.

It's far from useless, and people saying so have no idea what the hell they're talking about.

Hard choice - I have a warlock I decided to level to 60 (currently 53), a 60 mage, and 60 pally. Who would this best suit? I currently use a variety of pvp trinks for my lock. And switch them out based on cool down. The league of Arathor "sheild" trinket absorbs damage and does not share the cool down with a healthstone. My lock at lvl 53 has 3500 hp. I won this in a guild run, and will have to give it to someone in guild if I cant find a use for it.

As a mage, my trinks are dps based - 700 health is crap to a mage, I get hit for 1200 all the time. A pally with this? They can heal them selves. Seams to me a rogue (unless they have better trinks) would benefit the most from this.

another nearly useless but far overpriced epic. my server wants 300g+ for this. that much money could buy you more major healing potions then you could ever use on entire account full of characters.(you'd use major because it requires lvl51+ to equip this)

untill they turn down cooldown, this is completly worthless to anyone with a brain. cooldown should be 1-5mins tops with such small heal like that, or it be 1-2k+heal. majors do 1000-1500, with 2min potion reuse, cost 5g for 5.(300g=300 major healing potions for 5g=5 potions, 300!) they should also buff up the hp regen on it. can buy several slots with hp regen for 5-10g or quest one for free. necklaces/rings/armor with "of regeneration" on end, which is the one for hp regen every 5secs, higher versions have higher hp regen.(concentration is for mana regen, shadow wrath is +shadow dmg, eagle is +sta +int, etc)

one post said this was suited for warlock, id actualy say warlock is LEAST class that should want to use this, because we can make our own hp potion for free, 2min reuse, on top of potion reuse, wouldn't ever buy this, but even less as warlock with 2 chain-reuseable potions already. i think this is much more suited to tank class, rogue, or mage that lacks healing. of course it would feed our lifetap, but untill they fix cooldown on this to be 5mins or 1min, wouldn't ever buy it.

As a warlock I would love to have two of these. Slap them on while not in combat would reduce downtime considerably. Would almost double my hp-regen.

Then again, I might as well get a mage to summon me food and water before I go solo grinding. Save the money ;)

An easy trinket to overlook in PvP in lieu of other, better trinkets. Arena Grand Master for one - an average shield of 1000 looks like a straight upgrade when compared to this.

It must be worth noting that in a heated battle, you may find yourself swapping trinkets so often that everything will be on a cooldown.

And this trinket certainly beats any passive bonus.
