Guess how much PvP damage is actually melee damage? It isn't alot. This potion is made for group PvP. The resistances will help you survive longer against the barrage of magic that'll come your way. Combine with healing effects to get the most use out of his potion.

This potion also can have some use in Molten Core. A main tank will get hit pretty hard with fire damage, which can't be mitigated by armor. This potion will provide him with a very nice +50 fire resistance, and any other resistances he might need. You can't go wrong with that.

This potion can be chain-chugged, since the duration lasts longer than the cooldown. If you want the buff to last a long time, then stock up on these and drink away.

Is there not a Hord npc that sells this. Im pretty sure ill have to 'camp' him as it will only pop up sometimes.

the only possible reason that this would be useful out side of PVP would be if it stacks other wise there is one single boss in MC this would help with and that is Shazzrah. Only because Arcane resistance is one of the few resistances that can not be buffed by a pally or prist to 60 resist. I realize that no other resistance buffs stack but Blizzard does some weird things so has anyone checked? This might even make the Flask of Chromactic Resistance worth having around. Because it may stack where no other potions stack... I mean look at the mats it would be completely and utterly worthless otherwise.

I can't think of a better place to use this potion than during the Vael fight in BWL.

One of the best potions in the game. Easy to make. People sell them in stacks of 5 for less than 1g buyout in the AH. Plenty of interesting uses. Why aren't these much more expensive?

Oh well. More for me.

vael fight lasts 3mins so does this potion more fr = less dmg from his debuff or able to switch to more dps gear to take him down faster

Expensive?
Not really, and you use it mostly on raids if your fire resist could use a boost.

Try Vael in BWL and you will know what I mean :)

This potion is just beastly for the Vael fight. It gives you that extra 50 fire resist that you might need to be able to stay alive for that much longer. It lasts 3 minutes as well which is the exact amount of time you have to kill Vael. Get a stack and you won't be sorry.

The resistances granted by this potion do not stack with any other Resistance buff (Auras or Totems, Mark of the Wild, Shadow Protection, etc.). They will stack with resistance gains from gear and Juju items. Additionally, it is considered a Magic effect and it can be dispelled by enemy players, making this a very situational potion.

Fire Resistance Aura (+60 FR) + Scarshield Spellbinder (+83 FR) + Juju Ember (+15 FR) + Blazing Emblem on use (+50 FR) is the way to go (208 FR before gear).

if you can't get into a Paladins group for aura, then Magic Resistance Potion (+50 FR) + Scarshield Spellbinder (+83 FR) + Juju Ember (+15 FR) + Blazing Emblem on use (+50 FR) is the way to go (198 FR before gear).
Yes, Juju Ember and Magic Resistance Potion stack.
