He's located deep inside the cave on the NW corner of Isle of Dread.

Run SW of Feathermoon and then swim across the sea to the Isle of Dread. From there, fight your way towards the cave. The mobs inside the cave are really packed together, I usually got 2 per pull. He spawns on a litte piece of land surrounded by a lake inside the cave. Two sorceress were on the land with him, level 43-44.

being very patient and working carefully, I was able to eliminate the two guards on the island one by one and took the guy by himself.

As indicated by the drop rate, you might have to kill him more than once.

In my experience, he had to guards that were tightly bound to him so there was no option of fighting him alone. So as a solo 47 priest I used Mind control on him and killed the 44. Then killed him with him one mind blast. Killed the other guy as normal.

The two guards on his mini-island CAN be pulled without the Lord coming with them.

btw, the incredibly fast spawn rate of the hatecrest makes this a great grinding spot for lvl 44-48 or so. as a 45 hunter it kept me busy for hours...

im trying to solo this dude but the respawn rates are too %^&*ing sick to do so :(

i did him solo lv 44 rogue never died once ^^

Killed 4 Lords. Relic was not dropped ...

as said before, respawns are way too fast

its probably doable, but you'd have to be a couple levels higher than the recommended level

and rogues could probably easily do it

Take out his adds carefully and then you can take Lord Shalzaru alone.

Listen the key to do this is to just kill anyone of them. And when u get to the boss just kill him first then hes adds, no prob at all. lvl 43 hunter

easy quest to do. did as 46 rogue without any problems. u have to kill kouple of minions in the cave or stealth run (i killed them). and XP reward is nice. u get 2900xp at lvl 46 for first deliver and then u have to deliver to other npc near and u get 3900 more!

These mobs are so frickin easy, I suggest grinding them...I had no trouble taking down the lvl47 and 2 guards at lvl44!

Done it at lvl 44 . i'm a lock solloed it easy. Pulled them one by one from the little isle he's on

It was easy for Rogue, you can just stealth into the cave then kill lord...and die (or not if u vanish quick) :P Next go back to the cave, res and loot lord :D
