I read all of the comments above. I keep trying and it's not letting me clean the ring. I have abandoned it and re-accepted it several times and it stills only accepts the grime encrusted objects. Anyone else having this problem?

for me the machine on teh left as you come down the stairs closets to the mail box was the one.

It offerd me 2 options one to clean the ring and one to access othe clean functions after cleaning the ring it no longer offerd me othe functions.

I am intrested toi know what other functions were

sorry i really dont understand this! where do i get the ring from? i want to do the quest but dont know where to find it! can n e 1 help me?

Ok..so I have the ring.. if I clean it all I get is XP?... eh.. not sure it's worth going BACK down there :(.. just for that.

Where do i deliver the quest when i finish it?

First the ring is a random drop in gnomeregan that gets u a quest 2 clean it.
U can clean it in the cleanroom in one of the sparklematic devices. (for me down the stair and second on the left side)
Clean the ring and u get a green ring with 4 spirit and 4 stamina.
When u find the owner (for horde it's engineer in orgrimmar in valley of honor) he will ask u to give the ring and 1 moss agate and 1 silver bar and then u get as a reward the ring back but it turned blue and has 4 spirit and 9 stamina.

I got the ring clean.. machine in the far left cornor as you get to the bottom of the stairs.

4 stam 4 spir .. not a whole lot of good for a 47 mage that only came down to get some crap cleaned.

This is a great place to 'chill' and clean stuff. I got a whole bag of gems ores and stone. Mostly coarse stone which sells well.. an irridecent pearl.. lusterous pearl.. some moon stone.. copper ore.. tin ore.. some iron.. over all w/ the cost of using the machine it was balanced. But some ppl sell tons of the 'objects' on AH way dirt cheap. I was able to get a stack of 19 recently for only about 5 silver. I'd say it was worth the minor invesment. I am a minor/engineer so I will add all these goodies to my stacks in the bank.

BUT.. the ring is green and soulbound and won't vend. SO... you may as well finish the quest line if the lame stats don't help you.

If I RECALL (double checked on my way out as well)... the clean room is down the main circle hall way to the left once you enter the front of the instance.. follow it past ONE turn off on the left and keep going.. there will be a second turn off on the left. Take that one but STAY RIGHT. Once you get there none of the npc's can hurt you..but there are some trogs near the edge that can.

VEND and MAIL stuff while you can in this room. Most ppl don't have much bag space by now. But the cleaned objects may take up more space once cleaned so you may want to make the 'cleaning' a seperate run after you have finished the quest run (if that is why you came down in the first place). Now that I've found this place it's not hard to get at.

i cant find out were to go and get cleaned ive tried all 3 and doesn't work

Just sell the dirty objects. It costs more to clean stuff then you'll ever get selling.

You're gambling, on the odds favour the house.

(The quests are nice exp, so do them, and move on.)

Wondering why so many of the quest lines are so outdated, and if they are good anymore.

For those doing this in Classic: The drop information seems to be accurate. I didn't do the quest while leveling but completed it now on 60 and after clearing the entire dungeon it dropped of the second or third Dark Iron Agent. My alt did it while leveling and it took a few more kills but it also dropped of the Agents so unlike the encrusted object, the ring only drops off the agents. They're found in the last hallway leading to the final boss.

Killed every single dwarf in the area. Didn't drop. Not gonna repeat the dungeon only for that. I'm sad.
