Can anyone explain why this has starting price of 15G and 16G in AH? what use does this have other than as an alchoholic beverage?

It has no use just sell it in the AH if they sell on your server or drink it like most do

It's for the quest Cuergo's Gold that you get for putting all 3 pieces of the treasure map together and then using the map.

the quest Cuergo's Gold makes you go through some trouble to get Cuergo's Gold.

you think you will get an amount of gold, but you get an alcoholic beverage named Cuergo's Gold instead together with some grey trash and 2 greens.

It's like a blizzard joke.

saw some npc talking about cuergos gold at the inn (orgrimmar)

quickly got mine out of the bank checking if i could use it for anything

but negative

Drinked that and got standart drunk status as any alcohol does, so i'm not understand what that items is for and what's unique about that one........
