Wow! The droprate really is that low! I had to kill about 100-150 of these guys to get the horn.

where do i find the stones tho sumone ith?

It is oval standing stone (Menhir) small with a hollow centre. In this hole are small gold danceing lights. There is nothing to say this is the ston named in the quest 0- but the Horn works here. It is at the northern edge of the ruins near a pathway of torches. 50 elite spawns after about 10 seconds. :) Enjoy.

Found it after 1/2 hour of searching in northern part of ruins. Follow the path lit with braziers too menhir w/ dancing lights. Use horn there and wait about 30secs before she appears betw the two standing stones on left of menhir.

kill a couple harpys and it will drop once it drops go to these cords 40,8 then use the item u picked up and it takes about 15 seconds till she appears. me (45 rogue) and 46 warr took her out i say mildly hard.

It takes a while for her to appear, I was wondering what happened, and thought I had to get that horn again. Soloed it at 48 as a Warlock, VW, Demonology Spec.

Level 48 Orc Shaman...just kept healing and casting. Took about 30 seconds.

To the north of the ruins is a small circle of pillars with a purple flame. Go about 10' north of there and stand between 2 tall "fang like" stones with a small stone to the front. She will appear in a swirl in a few seconds and appears to be alone.

The spot is not obvious and previous posts are somewhat confusing. Just look for two tall fang like stones in the north, a few feet from the circle with the purple flame.

ive cleared the whole harpy base twice and the horn hasnt dropped......bad luck i guess

yes, it's for a horde (dunno for alliance) quest

DO NOT SUMMON before EDNA CORPSE disappear.

If you do that, your item just goes away. and nothing is summoned.

Let the corpse disappear.

First character 20 kills, and drop.
Second character 200-300 kills and no drop.

If its crowded, i recommend not to do this quest.

Wow. Absolutely THE most frustrating quest I have ever encountered.

Definitely should have given up WAY before I did but I was getting some herbs and wicked claws dropping, which one of my guild mates needed so I kept going.

Here is my experience:

I killed 200+ harpies before the horn finally dropped. Finally got the stupid horn and summoned Edana Hatetalon. She was definitely NOT soloable as a lvl 48 elemental shaman. Died once during the fight, used reincarnation to come back and heal and she STILL took me down. She hits VERY HARD so I'd recommend bringing a friend (or better yet just skipping this quest altogether). And, of course, the horn is destroyed on use so you only get ONE chance to kill her.

When I finally died for good I resurrected at an ALLIANCE graveyard and had to hearth out.

Completely ridiculous.

Easily done as a lvl 47 frost mage with Greater Nature Protection Potion. Full health when the fight was done. Killed about 10 Harpies for the horn but she was already spawned when I got to the area.
