BlizzCon 2010 will take place October 22 and 23 at the Anaheim Convention Center, and tickets cost $150 USD each. This will be the first of two opportunities to purchase tickets to this year's event, and tickets will definitely sell out fast. Another batch of tickets will go on sale Saturday, June 5 at 10 AM PST. Pending ticket purchases will be put in a queue and transactions will be processed in the order they are received - I was late 2 minutes last year at getting on the site and throwing tickets in my cart, and I was already 24000+ in queue (and didn't get tickets), so try not to be late! And as for the wait—don't worry, Failoc-alypse is still t

These dates have not officially been announced yet by Blizzard so don't go making plans just yet.\r

Tentative BlizzCon 2010 Info Leaked
12/11/2009 alle 17:38
Woo!So the crew at WoW.com have done a bit of sleuthing, and have discovered that BlizzCon is (tentatively) scheduled at the Las Vegas Convention Center next year, for July 30th and 31st!\r
Check out the source here!\r
Edit: Blizzard has sent us an official response to this story:\r
We haven’t announced any details regarding our next BlizzCon -- though we can confirm that it will not be held in Las Vegas -- so we recommend everyone refrain from making any BlizzCon-related travel plans at this time.\r
Looks like we won't be meeting in Vegas this year—a shame, I was rather looking forward to the trip.
BlizzCon: Behind the Scenes
01/09/2009 alle 14:38
While the major announcements were taking place on the floors of BlizzCon...another, more sinister drama was occurring behind the scenes.\r
Those of you who have been following this blog may remember that TheOnyx, Skosiris and I are Horde players. While on the convention floor, we got word of a certain gathering that was to occur—a gathering of the Alliance. And we couldn't let that stand...something had to be done.\r
An elite crack team of agents was assembled. Their mission: to rickroll Blizzard.\r
See the exciting, video conclusion after the break!
Game Systems Panel
22/08/2009 alle 15:26
One of the panels many of us have been expecting today was the Game Systems one - panel about Guild Advancement (leveling & achievements), Path of the Titans, Mastery System, and rated battlegrounds. I am not going to waste your time with introductions - on with the show!
Cataclysm Stat Revamps—GC Nerfs EVERYTHING!
21/08/2009 alle 19:44
So I'm going to go through and list some of the crazy changes that are being made to itemization here. I'll be elaborating more on this later, but here's the basic rundown:\r
Edit: Because there seems to be some confusion: These changes are proposed changes to come with the next WoW expansion, called Cataclysm. These are still a long way off. When they come, they will also come with a complete revamp of existing gear, as well as a total reconstruction not just of the quests that lead you through the original zones, but of the zones THEMSELVES. Thousand Needles is being flooded. The Barrens is being split into two zones. Desolace is green and growing. Azshara is a lowbie leveling zone. Zones are being condensed so you spend fewer levels in each one. So have no fear. Everything is changing, but it's all changing TOGETHER. The whole game is getting redesigned for the new expansion—check out all the details on how in our Recap!\r
But in the meantime, let's take a look at the stat changes coming in the expansion!
Cataclysm Officially Announced!
21/08/2009 alle 14:22
Picture it exploding, and you get the idea.So here's the rough run-down. It's pretty much as it was leaked, but here's the interesting stuff I thought:\r
Guild levelling, and Guild achievements\r
New Character Progression: "Path of the Titans". Not sure what this means.\r
New Secondary Skill: Archaeology\r
Heroic Classic Instances: Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep\r
So it looks like everything MMO-Champion had was correct, but apparently Blizzard still managed to keep a FEW secrets. :)\r
The goblin lore looks interesting. It seems like the Horde Goblins will be a splinter group of island-faring goblins—similar to the Darkspear trolls—that were forced off their island by the incoming Cataclysm, and have fallen in with the Horde. It's possible, we'll have to see. :)\r
The full details are up on the World of Warcraft site here:\r
Stay tuned for the next blog, when we hit up the preview panel!
BlizzCon Day 1—and Wowhead Quest!
21/08/2009 alle 12:23
So I'm in my hotel room, packing my stuff up and heading down to the convention floor. I'm going to use this blog post to write down my random thoughts as we go on through the day, just in case some of you may be bored enough that they want to hear MY running commentary on their DirecTV broadcast. :P\r
Don't forget that for more immediate news and pictures—the kind I don't have to run up to the press room to publish—you can follow us on Twitter:\r
Bonus: For those of you who are actually attending the convention, Wowhead has a quest for you!\r
If you manage to find one of us on the convention floor—you'll know us by our Wowhead T-shirts—then you get a card for a free month trial of Premium!\r
The updates will be coming after the break!
More BlizzCon Info!

Fansite Summit Recap!

Why yes, that WOULD be a 2 ton bronze statue of Thrall. So now that I've gotten to sit back down at my computer and actually do some typing, I'm going to elaborate a little on some of the thoughts I mentioned in the previous blog, and on Twitter. I wasn't made for Twitter—I talk too much. :(\r
I'm also posting the (admittedly meager) gallery of photos I managed to take, though the majority of the time we were restricted from using cameras.\r
