Battle for Azeroth pre-purchase
launch yesterday, there were multiple interviews about the current and upcoming content released.
This post links to all the interviews that we could find, as well as provide a brief summary of the interview.

Classic Server Highlights
Humans are involved on Classic servers but it is a huge technical challenge. The way the database works today and the way it worked in 2004 are different; same with the servers, the compiler, and hardware.
They have to resurrect dead tech and dead data as many things are 13 years old and aren't supported anymore.
There are lots of decisions to make and one of the reasons to announce WoW classic so early was they want to partner with the community and hear feedback on which direction it should go. For example, UBRS was both a 15-person and 10-person version in a two-year period. (Note: original article misremembered the dungeon sizes.)
The starting place for Classic is the original 2004/2005 experience in terms of graphics. They'll be looking towards the community to help decide if they should be using the new HD character models.
WoW in its original form has a certain amount of complexity and it will be a challenge. It would effectively be like managing two MMOs.
There are a number of people that are really interested in what Classic WoW is going to be. J. Allen Brack has his job because of classic WoW. There are a lot of Blizzard employees who love classic WoW and currently, you can't play it at a Blizzard-quality today.
They're going to try to run the classic WoW on what they call the modern WoW infrastructure and they think they can actually do it.
Island Adventures are going to have a similar layout, but you might start from a different location or a different story being told; from a mogu takeover, saurok, pygmies or ogres. You might find a rare at the top of a hill, or a bunch of cannons which give you an extra action button to help you later on.
They loved how emissaries played out with World Quests. It may not be applied to islands, but they love the philosophy.
The advanced AI mobs in Island Adventures won't go into combat as traditional creatures do. They won't leash or evade, they will try to abuse Line of Sight when you're trying to shoot them and will try to flee to their allies.
Patch 7.1 - Karazhan probably came out too soon, so don't expect an 8.1 quite so soon in BFA.

They chose the classes that Allied Races could be by what makes sense. The Highmountain Tauren are culturally very similar to regular Tauren. Similarly, it doesn't really make sense for a Nightborne to be a paladin.
Dark Iron Dwarves
BFA's stat squish will hopefully make it less likely they'll need one in the near future and make it easier to do when they need to.
There's something flavorful about bringing class buffs - There's some benefit you can provide to the group.
Professions will be a little less story-driven. You probably won't see a dozen-quest chain to earn a couple recipes.
One of the goals of level scaling was to make it longer to level up. That decision was made because classes received more powers and abilities since they leveling experience was originally created. However, they're watching people's responses to the increased leveling time and making sure that it isn't too drastic.
Player feedback was definitely a part of picking which races would become Allied Races.
It would be weird if there weren't more allied races in the future.
MMO-Champion - Paul Kubit, Shani Edwards

The details and timing of the release of the other Allied Races are still being figured out.
Heritage armor for the old races has been talked about, but have nothing to announce yet.
There may be some dance updates in the future, but the Allied Races are using the dance of their base race.
They wanted to make sure that you still had some zones that you could look forward to as you level.
There hasn't bee much talk about a blacklist for dungeons when queuing for a random dungeon.
Tradechat - Paul Kubit, Shani Edwards
is with Paul Kubit and Shani Edwards.
They think that the speed of leveling right now is about where it was pre-7.3.5 but with more options.
In the future it's completely possible that some new race-class combos could become available if the story changes. There is some cool throwback to Alliance getting the only paladin allied race and the Horde getting the only shaman allied race.
There is some talk about making unique /dance for Allied Races, but they do have their own jokes, flirts and voice lines.
It's not completely impossible for Demon Hunters to become an Allied Race in the future, but they'd have to figure out the timelines.
