Encounters

Built twelve thousand years ago by a covert sect of Highborne sorcerers, the ancient city of Eldre'Thalas was used to protect Queen Azshara's most prized arcane secrets. Though it was ravaged by the Great Sundering of the world, much of the wondrous city still stands as the imposing Dire Maul. The ruins' three distinct districts have been overrun by all manner of creatures — especially the spectral Highborne, foul satyr and brutish ogres. Only the most daring party of adventurers can enter this broken city and face the ancient evils locked within its ancient vaults.

Although Dire Maul did not have an attunement, someone in your party needed to have a Crescent Key to open the West and North wings. The key drops from Pusillin on the East Wing.

Dire Maul was also famous for what was called a Tribute run, which would involve running the North wing without killing any bosses before the end boss, King Gordok. This run would require sneak strategies and even use of unorthodox items such as Gordok Ogre Suit. Completing a Tribute run would award extra, more powerful loot, at the chest that appears after defeating King Gordok.Notable Loot

As you participate in PvP content, be it outdoor PvP or battlegrounds, you will start earning Honorable Kills (which we will be calling HKs). A HK is generally awarded when you, or someone in your group, kills a player of the opposite faction. Players need to be within 10 levels of you (ie. not having their level displayed as gray) to count for a HK.

However, not all HKs have the same value. Every HK comes with a certain amount of Honor Contribution Points (which we will be calling CPs). CPs are measured by how much PvP experience you have, and killing a player with high amounts of CPs will award you more CPs than killing, say, a fresh 60 that never really PvP'd before.
You can see your HKs for your entire character's existence, HKs for the last week, and your CPs for last week by the Honor tab in your character sheet.

You can also earn CPs by fulfilling objectives in Battlegrounds - like capturing the flag in Warsong Gulch, capturing a base in Arathi Basin, or killing a lieutenant in Alterac Valley.

Rankings and titles are only updated once a week, during the weekly reset. The only exception for this is Dishonorable Kills, explained below, which will affect your rankings immediately.

Emeriss has the special abilities Volatile Infection causing AoE damage around a player, Corruption of the Earth triggered every 25% health lost which placed a DoT on players, and which spawned a mushroom on corpses.

Lethon has the special abilities Shadow Bolt Whirl which fired bolts of shadow damage and Draw Spirit triggered every 25% health lost which stunned players and summoned spirits which would heal Lethon if they reached him.

Taerar has the special abilities Bellowing Roar which is a traditional dragon fear, Arcane Blast which deals damage and knockbacks, and Summon Shade of Taerar triggered every 25% health lost. At this time, Taerar will banish himself and summon three Shade of Taerar.

Ysondre has the special abilities Lightning Wave and Summon Demented Druid Spirit triggered every 25% heath lost which summons druids that Moonfire and silence.

You can continue to repeat the Field Duty quests to gain reputation and badges. This will typically require a small group. The Field Duty quest gives 25 reputation each time you repeat it. After completing the initial Field Duty quest, you can select Combat, Logistics, or Tactical quests which give a related badge for each quest type. The completion of these quests gives 50 reputation.

Cenarion Combat Badges will typically require a group to earn. It is possible to earn them solo depending on your equipment, skill level, and class.

Cenarion Logistics Badges can be soloed. These are earned by gathering materials. Often you can buy these materials at the auction house. This requires gold to complete but allows you to trade gold for reputation which saves time.

Cenarion Tactical Badges typically require a group but can be soloed sometimes.

Turning-in one Combat Badge, one Logistics badge, and one Tactical badge all at once via the Allegiance to Cenarion Circle quest, you can gain 200 reputation. This is a good option if you're not saving the badges for any of the Volunteer, Veteran, Stalwarts, or Champion Battlegear.

Cenarion Hold: Go to Cenarion Hold base in Silithus and complete as many quests as you can. These give you Cenarion Circle reputation.

Travel around Silithus and complete any quests you can from the NPCs in the zone. Valor's Rest is another quest hub at the bottom of the region.

Complete the quests for Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj.

Step 1 - Bracers
Only one quest, An Earnest Proposition, which required level 58, having the Tier 0 Bracer and .

This step required you to go all around the world collecting ectoplasms and culminated with Just Compensation.

In order to complete this step you must collect many different crafting materials. Besides that you also were required to engage Baron Rivendare in Stratholme within 45 minutes of opening the second service gate.

The final step requires you to be Honored with Argent Dawn, requring you to go to different places in the world to reassemble the Amulet, and defeating Lord Valthalak in Blackrock Spire ending with Saving the Best for Last.
