Classic Wowhead Database Updates - Random Enchantments on Items, More Filters!
19/08/2019 alle 16:03
With Classic WoW a week out from launch, we're happy to announce more updates to our
Classic Item Database
: random enchantments and more item filters.
Many BoE drops in Classic WoW had a chance to roll one of many suffixes with various stat combinations. You're now able to see all the Random Enchantments options on item pages!
Here is an example of what the
page looks like now:
Third-party sites can also create tooltips highlighting these different suffixes. For example, here's
Dragon Finger of Fiery Wrath
As we receive more user data on these BoEs, we'll be able to show stat ranges present on each suffix with greater accuracy. For example, on
, the "of the Bear" option shows +(2 - 3) Stamina , +(2 - 3) Strength. For higher level items, we don't have as much data to go on, so some higher-end values may still be missing.
New Item Filters
Based on user feedback, we've added several more filters to our
Classic Item Database
, mostly to help you find interesting armor and weapons with distinctive procs:
Chance on hit effect
filter, which finds all items with a "chance on hit" proc including popular items like
. Some of those procs are not flat damage (e.g. they buff a stat), and they'd show in this filter when they would be missing from the
filter for items like
, which is basically the "thorns" filter for damage when you're hit by the enemy. You can also further narrow results by filtering by specific damage school.
Struck in combat
filter, which finds all items that have spells that say "struck in combat." They often include damage shield spells but also include other spells like stat buffs such as
Mark of the Chosen
Don't forget, we recently added other filters to the items database like
Added in Content Phases
: We're processing the data we received from the level 40-45 beta test, and are preparing to process all the 45-60 data we get when Classic goes live.
: We're still working on adding stat weights to our item filters, which then enables us to add stat weights to selecting gear in the Gear Planner.
