Shadowlands Pre-Patch Class and Spec Tuning Hotfixes (Oct 21) - Shadow Priest and Arcane Mage Nerfs

New hotfixes have been pushed to live servers which includes some class and spec hotfixes. The changes are nerfs to Shadow Priests and Arcane Mages by nerfing powerful Azerite Traits.

Briefly, it looks like Blizzard is trying to kill off the possibility of a

-only rotation, which has been competitive with standard Arcane. Which is weird, because it'll come back in Shadowlands once we reach a certain rank of the

Actually it took Blizzard a long time to push these nerfs.
Apparizioni Adirate
was already a strong trait in BFA, being used x3 with high crit at the end of the tier. With Shadowlands, the number of apparitions we put out is substantially increased, but their damage was reduced to compensate. However, the

trait is an additive bonus, so these nerfs don't impact its increased power with mode Apparitions going out.
For

, it is basically bringing the bonus Insanity more in-line with the insanity generation model of Shadowlands. For BFA,

increased Insanity generated by Shadow Word: Void by 20, while baseline generated 15; in Shadowlands,

only generate 10 insanity makes its increase more in-line with their BFA balance.
