It's the end of the world, as we know it...(8)I think jaina should be the new tirisfal guardian rather than thrall...
All I really thought when reading the announcement was "Wut?". Has Bibi gone nuts? I was willing to agree with his "the Highbornes are back" comment. I am willing to agree that the next expansion will be Cataclysm. But here is how many things he derives from those two:
I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this. I'm likeing the look of worgen players enough to consider rerolling. just depends on what classes they can be.
Ok my impressions, if anyone cares:1. Completely redone old world looks awesome IMO especially if lowbies start there...a great way to level my blood elf warrior!2. Thrall...Guardian of Tirisfal? No, just no.3. The new classes, other than blood elf warrior, human hunter, undead hunter, and dwarf shaman look stupid and make almost no sense. Tauren paladins? They are REALLY going have to f**k with lore to work that one out...4. Uldum! Finally! That's it for now. Just my $.02.
I used to listen to official blizzard podcast, and as far as I remember they said they were NEVER gonna make azeroth flyable.
PANIC!Oh wow, these are some crazy changes. I'm all excited and feel like I should go on a screenshot taking spree so I can remember the old world now. Also so I can taunt people and say, "Well yeah, I remember when..."If these changes are true, I'm seriously tempted to start all over again at level 1 just to experience the revamped low level stuff. So much planning to do!
Night Elves used to have mages. They are the Highborne. That new Alliance quest implies that there are still Kaldorei capable of using arcane magic... they just don't do it. Because it's wrong. But they can. And if Cataclysm refers to the Maelstrom and the Naga, it is entirely possible that night elf mages start appearing again. You know, since the naga were Highborne...
Everyone is capable of using arcane magic -.-
All of this is speculation and sounds an awful lot like what everyone has come to expect from the suggestions forums, I strongly urge anyone with any bit of sense to wait another few weeks for the Blizzcon news.
Of all the new race and class combination(s), I don't find any unmanageable, even the Tauren Paladin isn't much of a stretch. Such as Night elf mages, yes they may distrust the arcane but we've seen them and the alliance as a whole did allow re-admittance for death-knights. But most of all the annocements, I am surprised Carine will be removed from office as he seemed to me, to be the most loyal to the Thrall since Warcraft III, didn't show much care for the alliance and I think should have played a bigger role in the MMO. With the leader changes surfacing I wonder too, if Lor'themar will be crowned king of Silvermoon? On that note I wonder if well see unique models for all the racial leaders.
Ick.
My thoughts:
Tauren Pallehs: <3<3<3<3<3Troll Druids confuse me though: I could see some of them as adopting druidism, but what I find odd is that they didn't add a matching Druid race to alliance; up to now, Druids have only been available to one race on each side, and now it just feels lopsided... maybe Draenei could adopt it as well...?edit:
