The trial of Chi-Ji is a test of hope. Uncertain of the future of his people, Emperor Shaohao sought out the great Red Crane. The Great Crane challenged Shaohao to find the hope within himself, and cast off his uncertainty. Once the Sha of Doubt was vanquished, the Emperor became a beacon of hope for his people. To pass the trial of the Crane, warriors must believe in hope, even in the darkest of days.
The trial of Yu'lon is a test of wisdom and faith. With omens of a bleak future floating through his mind, Emperor Shaohao climbed to the summit of Mount Neverest to seek the council of the Jade Serpent. Yu'lon urged Shaohao to cast off the dark emotions that plagued him, and through his trials, Emperor Shaohao would become one with the land. To pass the trial of the Serpent, warriors must be wise in their choices.
The trial of Niuzao is a test of bravery and fortitude. When Emperor Shaohao was overcome with fear, the Black Ox counseled him to face his fears directly. After a protracted battle with the Sha of Fear, the Emperor emerged victorious. To pass the trial of the Ox, warriors must be resolute in the face of overwhelming danger.
The trial of Xuen is simultaneously a test of strength and a test of restraint. When Xuen gave Emperor Shaohao a 10-foot-pole and asked him to strike one of Xuen's warriors, the Emperor could not land a blow. For without restraint, anger and hatred run wild. To pass the trial of the Tiger, warriors must harness their power, while burying their thoughts of violence.
Ordos was once a shaman of the Yaungol who sacrificed himself to the flame, following the promises of the Fire Lords, in order to become a demigod. His flesh is eternally seared with fires, putting him in endless agony. Yaungol Fire-Keepers ritualistically set themselves ablaze to emulate the ascension of Ordos, and cast enchantments and prayers to ease his pain.
I really like that this island is not a daily grind, but a place that promotes exploration - and in some cases, lore - in order to earn your rewards. You can also grind if you want, but by the looks of it, blizz has encouraged way more interesting, rewarding, and fun ways to get your rewards. I have to wonder if pet battle tournament winners will also earn timeless coins and how many? And, will there be an option for a PvP pet battle tournament?. I also like the lore quiz idea, it might cause some people to read up on their lore to either find the answers, or just out of interest. Although I wish there was a better way to implement lore, this is still a great idea. On top of everything covered here along with the 5 world bosses, this island seems like it'll be the pinnacle of what WoW used to be in the older days: Exploration, fun events, world bosses, and an overall enjoyable experience with others. I can't wait for this patch to release! :D
I'm very excited about this new island. It's great that Blizz finaly noticed ppl are tired of dailes. I love to explore so it will be right place for me :) Also opening random chests seams a lot of fun - you never know what u gonna get, and curiosity is smthg that drives me on :)
Where is the lore daily? I've looked all over the island on the PTR and I can't seem to find it.
Great more content to bore us to death, i should probably just cancel my subscription if this is the content they are going to release. feel like this is poke-wow

This area's introduction with a NPC called Lara, a ticking box, and a strange timepiece is a very obvious reference to the first Tomb Raider movie where Lara Croft finds a magical clock inside an old ticking box, thus beginning her quest to find an ancient triangle with the power to control time itself.
don't get it... "... without doing dailies."Meaning it's just endless killing of mobs around?
