Gambiere Pallide are still one of my favorite flips in-game averaging a 44200% return.Resale/Flipping is my primary way of making gold on the AH
I haven't been at this long so it's not a great story, but I saw someone on my server selling three Promises decks for 15k when my usual server price is about 40k. I bought those out, reposted for 1c under 40k, sold one, and got the B/O stabilized again.
I have my low-level alt druid constantly checking for Dangui Tradizionale Formale in Moonglade, nothing beats the feeling that you just got an extremely rare and unusual item like that for just being patient enough. And the fact that it can be sold for at least 100k...
I'm very lazy when it comes to flipping, but I've bought Schinieri di Pellegrama for 20g and sold it for 150k, which was quite satisfying.
Well, my greatest goal on AH was couple year ago.As extremely lucky mage, my alt swimming over Vashj'ir when NPC scan roar like a Odin and mark PoseidusThat was my second Redini di Poseidus, so i drop it for 180k! =)
I remember stockpiling gems in Cataclysm and a patch hit, allowing me to sell the cut gems at a huge profit. I made about 750k in 72 hours... And given the economy back then and the relative paucity of gold compared to now, that would be equivalent to several million now! The key for me was my server. It was low population enough that I was able to control the market with relative ease.Another time I hit gold cap (roughly 1 million at the time) and server transferred a guild over to Area 52, where I picked up about a dozen TCG mounts. After I had learned the ones I wanted, I transferred back and resold the mounts at a hefty profit. It required some real money investment, but for someone that wanted the TCG mounts, it was a minute fraction of the cost I'd have to pay on eBay!
When Coalfist Gronnling was still new to game, someone had posted two of them on the AH for 25g each (My inner goblin cackled with delight). I scooped them both up, turned around and sold them both at 10,000g each.
Craft and dstroying Pietra Alchemica Infernale into Obliterum sell for good price.
My biggest flip was actually accidental. I had learned about the practice of shuffling. So I bought a lot of Stonehide leather to craft bracers and then disenchant. It wasn't long before I realized that I was losing money there. So I just put all that leather in the bank, waiting to do something with it. Then, 7.2 came out, and mat prices increased. So the Shuffle became profitable again. Made about 100k that way, felt pretty happy because I was a beginner.
Had 2 Boes drop at nighthold, didn't realize what they were worth and let the armory app list them for 1% below someone else's price. I was pleasantly surprised when i got 100k in my bank when i auto claimed the gold from the App as well. Another time i sold Ricetta Carbonizzata for 1k and ruined the market a little bit, everyone started selling it until it went back down to 100g or relatively back to normal.
I made my biggest sale during the release of craftable legendaries like Rifugio Eterno della Sentinella and they still sell pretty good on my server.
On a side note, if you happen to be flying around hitting up the vendors listed above, don't forget to make a quick sweep for the following pets;Northern Barrens - Leaping HatchlingDustwallow Marsh - Darting HatchlingWetlands - Razormaw HatchlingAll three can easily be obtained from nests that are found in a very small area and each usually go for around 250g.
bought a ethereal soul traderon a bid end timer, min bid 30kthis was a long while agoflipped for 150k on full server ahstocking on rare pets in your collection is a good investment if u dump right before a pet battle dungeon release
in TBC there was a bind on equip 1h sword, it was worth 700g at the time. Someone placed it on AH for 70 gold. I bought it and sold it for 1000
I believe someone made a grave mistake while posting a stack of Empyrium ore on my server. I was able to buy the stack for 2,000 gold and then sold two stacks of 100 ore for 10,000 gold a piece over the next day or so. I felt slightly bad about it, but it is a mistake that most people have at least once.
my biggest sales thus far have been the crafted legendary armor pieces. However it does seem Blizz is slowly nerfing the drop rates for the 100 cloth on the island. I used to be able to farm the cloth in 1-2 days of WQ's now its more like 3-4 days of clearing all WQ's plus just grinding out the kills for the cloth... I am still averaging one a week on the AH, for anywhere from 100k-250k gold... just depends on the day I post it...
I have found I made alot of my money on alts i make on low pop Rp servers with greens and low lvl blues or on low pop normal servers with low lvl crafting mats.
I think one of my best AH flips was when I found Pattern: Robes of Arcana for 300g. I already had the pattern in my collection, so this was a nice sale for me.
It's not too big, but with the recent event of the Incubo Lucido mount, Modello: Maschera di Stoffa dell'Ombra was selling like hotcakes. I farmed up two for myself; one to learn on my tailor, and one to sell on my main. I saw there were a couple going on the AH for only 5k apiece, so I picked them up and then listed all three patterns for 10k each, leaving me with a total profit of 20k. Like I said, not too big, but I'm pretty pleased with the outcome!
I sold a M0R-D1K-K10 for 230k the second day after the patch came out. What can I say, the ones already listed were even more expensive, and I didn't like the breed I got from the first opened bag. But at least now I have a good cushion of cash if I ever need to buy stuff on the server I sold it on. Squalo Fantasmas were selling really well until after the second week of fishing friends rotation as well. Did not regret farming and upgrading 12 of them.
