I'm really excited for the update to TSM! The new Tasks feature looks really helpful, because I know for me, the daily CD's are something I often forget about, and am losing a lot on. The new group flow looks really good too, and a lot cleaner.
I've been pretty casual TSM user, never really using it for much beyond buying crafting materials for personal use. I am hoping in BFA with the ease of use and the added warehousing/mailing features I can better leverage my resources from alts with gathering/crafting professions into profit. Also hoping the tasklist will help establish a routine of using the AH/making some gold everyday.
Have not used TSM yet but will try in BfA, as i'm mostly finished with other areas of the game. Would like to learn world of goldmaking seriously:) Though i've used my own spreadsheets a bit before
I am looking forward to giving this new version of TSM a try. I had used the previous version with some success, but apparently I have become a Lazy Goblin and might have to check out the Lazy Goldmaker (thank you for introducing me to the blog).
TSM4 is great new, great news indeed.
"Do you ever use spreadsheets as part of your gold-making strategies? Have you ever made own? What's your laziest or easiest way of making gold?"I've been using Lazy goldmaker spreadsheets for a while, they really helped me figure which materials were best to sell raw or craft, and what to buy using Blood of Sargeras. Also, it helped me see when it is most profitable to buy raw materials to use for crafts on my JC and scribe, managed to make quite the gold using this method which was easy and really didn't take much time, like 30-45 mins a day for some nice profit daily :D.
Very excited about this task list function! I'm wandering if the condensation of all modules into a single addon will make it lighter on performance, cause both tsm3 and 'all the things' gives me stuttering during gaming when either are activated, even with high fps (on a recently built ryzen build)
People have been saying that the AH modules have been a loss for them, and if you were just selling to people who pay a ton of attention, they might be. But when you post em in the AH, people are still buying, or at least I've had success w/it
The spreadsheets that get posted on reddit are a godsend to us, keep up the good work goblins!
Can't wait to check out LazyGold Makers spreadsheet update. I've been using his legion one and checking out all of his blog posts for good ideas. He's definitely one of the best out there. I'm setting up my TSM 4 today, definitely like the faster posting and scanning. And for someone who's not so great at understanding how it all works the new base group is a godsend.
I've stocked up on "sun darter kits", and a few similar things. I don't expect to make a lot, but there will probably be some returning players who could buy my holy protection potions or ogre suits.
I dont use spreadsheets for my gold making but I have the basic understanding of what does and doesnt sell.. My big maker has always been pets and the transmog I pick up while leveling my many alts or farming old raids. But having alts that use gathering professions like Skinning, mining, enchanting, and herbing its super easy for me to collect a LOT of mats. Enchanting and Skinning tend to work best since my realm is full of ore and herb finders which are so much easier to get since they dont diappear right away. But enchanting and skinning require killing so collecting these is still super profitable and I collect them in mass by just playing alts and doing a few daily/WQ.I dont make millions but I havent been paying for time. And since I gather so many mats its easy to make items to sell for more like armor patches and popular enchants.
Just coming back after years away, toyed with TSM3 for the past month and excited to check out TSM4 but I'm never going to be one of the big goblins. Still, it's fun to play the economic game-within-a-game - hope to be able to pay for my monthly subscription soon! Definitely going to check out The Lazy Goldmaker's blog and spreadsheets - thanks for the tip!
Do you ever use spreadsheets as part of your gold-making strategies? Have you ever made own? What's your laziest or easiest way of making gold?Since my main source of making gold is from flipping pets across a few servers, I've created a simple Google spreadsheet to keep track of how many pets I own and their US median price. The latter allows me to check when I don't remember the prices or check whether the prices have changed.
RIP that Ashran AH parts stockpiling, but it's always a risk, same thing happened with lvl 25 guilds for reselling, Reins of Poseidus or soon will with Chromatic Sword. We knew Ashran is being removed so the chance of that part being necessary but unavailable OR made drop from a different more plentiful source OR made obsolete and removed from the recipe were all possible more or less equally. People took similar risk with Elixir of the Rapid Mind, and that one paid off. But investing in "unobtainable" content is always swimming in the muddy waters.
I don't like the new UI of TSM. Not that the old one was good, but TSM4 UI seems huge and not in the style of the default UI, and I want something minimalistic
I don't really stock up a lot of old mats unless I foresee a big enough demand. I also avoid ones that seem to be too much of a gamble in investments. But I do play the game a lot away from the auctioneer, and not just current content so I do get a varied amount of old stuff that can convert into a decent chunk of gold.
Long time goblin, long time coder, Looking forward to that spreadsheet and TSM. I've always tweaked my own from others, but rarely have the time to do the calculations of what % of things turn into what for optimal farming, so glad the community keeps a lot of this info public.
I was lucky enough to get into the tsm4 beta at the start of the year, ive really been enjoying the improvements on an already amazing addon. My favourite part of the addon is easily the auctioning, no other add-on can match the speed and ease of posting with tsm. Congratulations on the release of TSM4.
