Huge thanks to Blizzard, the panel and ALL OF YOU! Had a blast up there. Special thanks to this guy for agreeing to my little cameo idea. :) pic.twitter.com/8E7FAdtJNj— Scott Johnson @ Blizzcon (@scottjohnson) November 4, 2018

Whoever ends up on the throne after BfA - be it Thrall, Vol'jin, or Saurfang - they need to be Warchief from now until WoW dies.
Still don't know how to feel about sylvanas, hopefully get more information and it all makes more sense. Why voljin chose her etc... right now her becoming warchief just seems so unnecessary and garrosh 2.0 but even more of an obvious outcome
So we’re getting a new warchief. Unfortunate, but they better not kill Sylvanas, or there shall be displeasure into eternity. And that’s just in my house alone.
I feel like this is a bit of a misinterpretation of the "amateur" part. Sylvanas has already done stuff plenty as bad, if not worse than Garrosh with Teldrassil and Undercity. But what Garrosh failed to do that Sylvanas has so far succeeded at is not isolating her allies. We've got Saurfang and Baine getting mad about her, but the majority of the Horde, even if at times perturbed, willing to follow her against the Alliance. Garrosh got to a point where he forced out worthy allies simply because they were not orcs and willing to submit. Sylvanas is smart enough to know not to force out an ally simply because of their beliefs or looks, as long as they are useful, they are a tool she can use.
I still don't know if I like sylvanas, but let's hope they do a good job on the rest of her story
I'm a Horde player but...Really? Another Saurfang cinematic? Show me something about Greymane or Tyrande!
As much as I hate seeing Sylvanas become Garrosh 2.0 on Steroids, I really like the Saurfang stuff, and feel like a return to the Thrall-lead Horde is the way to go. I really wanted a particular Orc to lead the Horde instead of Garrosh back in the day. I think he ended up getting turned into a monstrosity of some sort in Warlords sadly...
I dont wanna see a big arc around Thrall, we cant go back to green jesus jokes, i rather experience a Saurfang big arc with Zek'han messing around!
8 more days until 10 years of wowhead!
Sylvanas may not remain Warchief, but with all signs pointing to the Shadowlands and a big climax revolving around Death, I'm not sure she's really going to end up as much of an antagonist. The most likely outcome is she does something big, drastic, probably pretty damn "evil", but debatably necessary, and ends up leaving on her own/with her niche band of super loyalists once the immediate threat of the Void is frustrated/put on pause, turning her focus purely on mastering Death, and Baine or Thrall or some other lunkhead becomes the boring Warchief again as we enter the content drought leading up to the next expansion.Maybe they put the whole Death expansion on pause and do an intermission after BfA, leaving whatever Sylvanas is up to in the Shadowlands to stew and germinate. But, there's no way in hell Sourfang becomes Warchief. If you think the "true" Horde (wtf does that even mean) are going to rally behind some Orc who's in bed with a human boy king...lol. This just sounds like weirdly specific Alliance erotica, really.
Comparing Sylvanas and Garrosh and say that Garrosh was an amateur, compared to what Sylvanas is doing. I mean dam how many more things do they have planned for Sylvanas to pull off, and her now weilding Xal... She could be using the dark blade for some sort of emergency plan as she is running out of Val'kyr for her personal "life" protection. Things are getting interesting. Great storyline this xpac! I just wish they put it all in game so the fan base would get it all, instead of asking them to read the books just to understand and fill in gaps in the story.
I really feel like they are subtly spoiling their own story for two reasons:1) To give hope to the intended horde playerbase that have the intended response of “whoa what are you doing, Sylvanas” as she gets darker and darker. The ones angry at the burning of Teldrassil. The true horde.2) Prepare the remaining Sylvanas loyalists to accept that the office of warchief may deserve loyalty, (and I’m glad that option will exist in 8.1) but Sylvanas herself is not being cast to be intended to have that loyalty. Far be it for me to tell you how to RP your character, but the writing is on the wall, and it’s not intended that the PCs be “PVEvil” villains. As far as canon goes, you think you’re with Sylvanas, but you’re not.
Sylvanas will use not one but 3 mana bombs to differentiate herself. Phase 3 of boss fight, dodgeballsI'm mostly just curious how far they'll take the player choice into account
Now that we know how Saurfang escapes the stockades, I wish I could kill him. He is a traitor working with the Alliance against the horde. Sylvanas isn't stupid, she knows that he escaped with some help on the inside. So Sylvanas sending us to kill him makes perfect sense. Please, stop using the term "the true horde" especially when talking about Saurfang. A "true horde" won't abandon his faction mid-battle and try to commit suicide (twice!) just because he disagrees with the warchief's methods. He has no honor or any sense of dedication to his race and faction. And now we learn that he is working with the alliance against the warchief, meaning against the horde. Sylvanas, unlike Garrosh, isn't pushing back any of the horde races ,something you fail to mention in any post. She isn't doing anything against the horde races. Sure, some horde leaders might disagree on her methods, but that doesn't make her banish an entire race just because there is a disagreement with a leader. Even when Baine tries to call her out in the last cinematic of the battle of lordaeron, she doesn't lash out at him at any form but present him with the two choices he has - go and fight with him (and probably die in the process) or stay and tend to the others. Sylvanas fights for survival, just like many of the horde races.
Thrall, where are you? He vanished in Legion. Pretty sure he is just sitting in the Shaman Order hall.Though his absence feels odd since Thrall should have plenty to say in the Warchief debate.
