Most of my gold making comes from previous expansion crafts or materials. I generally try to make a minimum of 35% or higher from the crafting cost, although it is generally higher. I also sell transmog and that seems to make me a fair amount of gold both crafted and farmed. Some income is from farmed mounts and pets as well. First comment btw!
My main focus when it comes to goldmaking is current expansion stuff atm, especially from tailoring. I post transmog from old expansions a couple times a week too.Usually on most markets i try to atleast have a 20-25% profit, unless its fast markets
Maybe it is just the server I am playing on.. but I have been making gold hand-over-fist selling TBC herbs. Primarily Nightmarevine (75g PER herb, 15k/stack) and Mana Thistle (40g PER herb, 8k/stack). I don't even bother with alchemy. I can farm about 3 to 4 stacks of each per day on one toon if I dedicate my time to it. Each Monday, I dedicate to running ALL raids on all 6 of my 120's... Back to back.. classic through WoD on Heroic and higher (you can do heroic and mythic for WoD) 1 good Monday, not counting AH sales, can net 150 to 160k.
Is there something you like to do in the game that doesn't fall within the 'normal' way to play? Have you ever made a twink to farm or PvP at low levels? When Recruit a Friend came out most of my friends had stopped playing and I wanted the mount, so I made a second account and recruited myself? I did it again when the new mounts came out (I did actually recruit two friends later, lol). Not exactly what they'd envisioned, but hey, I got the mounts!I don't think I'd ever utilize twinks. Even when I had the recruit a friend buffs, I didn't use them to level more quickly. I like the stories, the lore, learning about the characters I play. It's fun to level! PvP? Yikes!
can I turn that one year game time code, into 156€ of battle.net balance?
Gleam again. They are not gonna get even a temp spam friendly email address from me anytime soon :PAnd all this social media follow stuff can stay where it came from, hell I guess.
And again another site using gleam. When will people realise the privacy risks sssocisted with gleam and stop using it ....?
It's amazing how some people can try to explain their wish to exploit the game mechanics behind FUN,i have a quick question for Gumdrops and all other that like to have fun on the back of other people. If your twink can run normal Uldir would u consider that as FUN or as exploit on game mechanics?Majority of people leveled to 120 so they can do islands for mounts, pets, tmogs, and group of people usually no more than 1-2% of community decide to abuse the xp system and to cheat drop rate on islands.BFA is CURRENT content.YOU are NOT supposed to run solo current content on 110lvl toon.XP lock is clearly intended to serve on lore lovers who wants to do all quests in chosen zone without breaking lvl cap of the zone.Using this for current content is an abuse of the system,no FUN.Again,i am just amazed how people can throw silly explains of fun to abuse system and to get ahead of normal players.....if it was on my decision everyone who abuse xp system should be out of the game for 3 months at least. And for the record,no it was not fun to run an island with twink druid in my group, cuz he killed entire island and me and other guy just stood in one place, cuz twink wanted this way....very FUN no say....thanks.
Cannot get entries for /r/woweconomy and Method DC channels + both YT channels after subscribe. Anyone else got same problem?
Lon Measley here! Thanks for featuring my video again Gumdrops! And thanks for the GREAT information about timeless gold making! Happy holidays everyone!
Gleam wants way more Twitter permissions than I'm willing to give it, so of course now you have to do the Twitter entries first to get to the others. How does that thing just get more scummy?
isn't Blingtron once per day per account? not per character per day
On the question of do I do current or old content for gold - I concentrate on current content. Doing Herbing and Mining on my characters and selling mats, and selling Battle-Scarred Augmented Runes. Oh and watching out for the 2K Emissary reward too.
This giveaway should have lasted til Midnight New Years imo..
The only "twinks" of sorts that I got, are all locked at 20, so that I have something accessible in game when I'm not subscribed. One is in my guild, and remains otherwise unused. One is on same cluster, but a guild-leader of my banking guild. That's also where I conduct most of my AH activities. Last one is a remnant of forced migration during the great pandaria realm extinction, from before mergers. They sit on a high-pop realm and act as a guildless AH support for the other toons there. It was also my sole true twink - I geared it in everything I could reasonably get with a bit of help from my guildies. Still, I chose poorly - I took a warrior, only to find out hunters are kings of the pvp in the bracket. To be honest, I am close to XP-freezing my 110 afflock there, once he hits 111 or some such, and if I can get guildies to help with gearing him up a wee bit. I've never enjoyed islands more than on my other afflock, when I could just run around, ring on, and just spread, kite and watch stuff die. I also got a few nice mog drops, too, which were relevant in gearing until 8.1 dropped. I kinda want more of that fun, and more of those drops, but at 120, islands are an honerous boring drag, NOT fun. I just hope Blizztards don't act on the "fun detected" for now.And on old stuff... I saw a tremendous hit to my AH offerings of Pandaria and WoD mats, which used to sell fairly well due to their usefulness in profession catch-ups. With pre-patch for BfA, all of that tanked, hard for me. The market doesn't seem deep enough to sell anything without having to keep it listed for a few weeks, and my realm has a tremendous number of goblins of a type which I personally call "mimics". Irrelevant if its an old material, a tradeable pet, mount, herb, random green that looks nice... an AH MIMIC will reach into their vast vault and immediately undercut anything I post by one copper. The mimic's state of mind is, that if someone is posting something, then there's a market for it, therefore the mimic needs to corner that market by undercutting. As a result, few players that don't just obsessively camp AH can actually sell anything in the slower-moving markets unless they undercut very agressively - and that just feeds the mimics, who might eventually just buy out the undercutter to add to their overall stock. One of my friends has actually been making a lively business... completely bypassing the AH. He just has his stash of items that he knows that sell (and how often, as well as for how much) and barks the Trade and LFG. Not too frequently... but he's never pressed for gold, so I guess it works.I suppose AH has alienated a vast portion of playerbase, and needs an overhaul. I increasingly see people never bothering to loot in instances/open world, too, meaning they don't consider any drops from there might be of any value to them. That's no good either, and IMO stems partly from the fact they may see those untradeable in other form than vendor. But since this has been going since WoD at least, when uncollected loot would just come over in mail (which isn't true for all the possible scenarios anymore), I've given up the hope of Blizztards ever doing anything about that. In fact, more and more often I come across content with lootless mobs. Shrug.
