Hmm maybe chinesee will catch up ?
A race is only a race if all participants start at the same time. It cannot be considered a race if one team start 24 hours earlier.
It's not a fair race if the US has a headstart.
I may be misreading this but I think the sentence at the beginning of this article may need an edit:"Limit managed to claim the World First kill of Stormwall Blockade, while only a total of 3 kills have killed Mythic Mekkatorque and it looks like it's Blood DK season for these encounters."Probably should be, "Limit managed to claim the World First kill of Stormwall Blockade, while only a total of 3 guilds have killed Mythic Mekkatorque and it looks like it's a Blood DK season for these encounters."
So Limit had a 2.7 ilvl advantage over Method. I'd be interested in knowing what kind of dps percentage 2.7 ilvl equates to? Perhaps somebody much better at math could enlighten us.
That seems high. I'm no math wizard but 2.7% seems it would be right if the max level were 100ilvl. With the current average ilvl being around 400, 2.7 would be under 1% somewhere.
2.7 more ilvl would be enough for Method to kill Mekkatorque when he has less than 2% hp, but w/o these they wiped and needed to try againjust for clarity: dmg doesn't increase linear with ilvl, 200ilvl is ~Legion and characters there do less than 2k dps, with 380ilvl you can do 15k dps, so it increase not linear but exponential, that 2.7 difference between ilvl in fact gives more than 2.7% increase of dmg
Personally, I don't care much for the "race". It always ends the same way: Method or Limit and it's always a horde guild. Once an alliance guild is on the list and actually getting up there, I'll be interested.
Isn't Limit a NA Horde guild? If so, can someone explain how the following sentence makes any sense...?"Much has been made of the ilvl situation that benefitted Alliance NA, in which Limit could take advantage of the Against Overwhelming Odds quest, as well as the NA Warfront ticking over later than EU, for two extra ilvl 400 pieces of gear."Maybe i'm missing something.
faction change - do warfront and against the ods for 2 400ilvl - faction change$100.000.000 gold
I doubt Jaina has a secret phase considering the flow of the fight, but last part is just pure desperate survival before she retreats. I suppose Limit has figured out of the raid comp quite a while ago.
I would be far more impressed if these guilds didn't have the ability to switch classes out at need. Start with one set of classes/toons, play through and end with those same toons. I understand why they do it but it feels a bit like a cop out to me. Most guilds don't have the option to switch out classes because who has that many high level alts that they can play well? It is a testament to the players of these guilds that their players can play multiple classes really well but I would still rather see them face and overcome certain mechanics without changing classes. Not that I could ever do anything like this and more power to them, just my musings on the matter.
