Didn't Blizz canonize the Alliance version of the Purge of Dalaran? Which would mean that "only" three people were actually killed. Or am I remembering this wrong? But since these Sunreavers are talking about having to watch their friends die, I guess that means the Horde version is canon now? Also: Weird time and place to bring this topic up again at all.
THRALLS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK !
I... kinda forget that the Alliance even exists, this expansion. lol Every patch there's a decent sized story quest chain update Horde side, usually with a unique toy as a reward. Meanwhile Blue side has mostly just been relegated to just showcasing quick reactions and moments of shock to whatever is currently happening among the Horde. XD
Oh FFS, not Thrall again. I was hoping that we wouldn't have see that insufferable Mary Sue anytime soon.Still, I'm happy they keep up with the choice between loyalist/rebel. Choice is always good.
the scenario text it sounds like lor'themar but why is he nathanos levels of loyal all of a sudden? It's clear (in books, quests, and raids) that he respects Sylvanas but doesn't like that fact that she's...ya know undead, and she threatened him and his people(edge of the night), she gave him no reason to be this loyal, one could say that he's not truly loyal and is only following commands to keep the blood elves safe but you could follow commands and not be a nathanos. It could be another blood elf but it's the same with Lor, the blood elves respect sylvanas as former ranger general but don't like the idea of her being the very thing they hate and caused their near extinction.
Hell yeah! Green jesus is back!
What if we didn’t side with Saurfang but we did side with Baine?
When has Sylvanas ever cared about the Sunreavers? Her claiming revenge for them sounds as if she's just desperately seeking for any reason to go against Jaina.
So either this is an entire huge ruse by Sylvanas for... some purpose? Or the Blizzard writers are not only AWFUL at their jobs, but blatant unrepentant liars as well.Currently it seems like the writers forgot to make Sylvanas actually hate-able by her core fan base at the beginning of BfA, and when a large portion of the player base called out in support of Sylvanas (I'm guessing around 60% of Horde players and thus 40% of all WoW players), they had to hastily write a loyalist option for these quests. And unfortunately the factions are too radicalized by past transgressions to resolve this in a way that all the players are content with. Alliance players point to the Burning of Teldrassil, various Blightings, the Mana Bomb, etc. while Horde players point to decades of racism, slaughter, and slavery as well as the Sieges of Zuldazar and Orgrimmar and various dishonorable attacks like Varian at the start of Cata or Genn at the start of Legion. Now either Sylvanas will be taken out, enraging the largest single block of players to potentially quit and review bomb, or Sylvanas is proven 'right' or 'justifiable' in her actions for a greater goal (a la Kerrigan or Illidan), making a complete mockery of the emotional investment of Alliance and Saurfang/Baine sympathizer players. Now while the latter could be the way it turns out and could be fine, considering those groups are used to being stepped on narrative-wise, they still make up a majority of the fanbase and could revolt if they're pissed off enough. It's a lose/lose situation, one where the lack of mustache twirling evilness is really starting to show the strain in the story. Sylvanas should have been experimenting with the Blight on Horde citizens or taking Horde players' Azerite (restarting them from 0) or ACTUALLY enslaving some hapless nobodies (no, undeath is not slavery- saying that invalidates the entire playable Forsaken race.)
I really really hope they change the horde loyalist and horde traitor (Saurfang) part a bit more ....the only diffrent is Step 5"Follow Lenara and get updated orders." vs "Inspect the Troops"the rest is the same. Also "hurray" the horde cant do anything without the help of the alliance anymore and only exist because they let them, awesome......To they "Hell yeah! Green jesus is back" group .... i remember cata when everyone screamed "OMG pls nerv thrall it's beyond anyoning"and the whole "Green jesus" thing started ... but looking back at what thrall had done before ... he will vanish when the horde needs him most. i'm a bit confused about the text found and how said what
Blizzard doesn't seem to understand what "loyalist" means if they're the ones breaking Baine escape an execution he brought upon himself by committing treason.
Incoming Dark Rangers new ranged DPS class.
