I find that gold making gradually comes with the normal gameplay. I haven’t really focused on using my professions as money makers, but I do like being able to craft mounts, pets, toys, etc. Blizzard has done a great job with getting mats through normal progression, and I look forward to seeing what the future of professions bring to the game.
Really interesting post , i gonna check the old content recipes hopefully they will be worthy on my server aswell. Thank you for your advice ,waitin for your next post :)
>>Have you been farming eggs? Started in 2010.. Ended in 2012.. Yes, two years for lazy me... :(>>>Have you ever invested in holiday items to resell in the future, how did it work out?A bit tired of farming for the years of playing :( So no..
i'm always a big fan of new maps/worlds, being added looking forwards to doing more story quests and unlocking flying, but i have to admit some of these mounts are so expensive
In regards to professions, I don't care for the start over deal that is going to happen. I've barely just managed to get crafting maxed on 6 characters and having new stuff that isn't using the old stuff feels like most of a waste of time. I haven't managed to get the tools of the trade either so my current crafting isn't even profitable and this will just tank it totally. all in all, feels bad.In regards to noblegarden. I farmed eggs this year to store mounts and pets for sale later in the year. Not a ton but enough to hopefully pay for my accounts for one or two months. First time I've done it for more than personal use stuff. We'll see how it goes. I broke it up over the time it was on and I also worked on dungeon leveling a new zandalari troll to further break it up so it wasn't too boring.
I got a mount from an egg this year! Was really happy. Gonna get some profit with it on a few months.
I'm gonna try with the arcane crystal method. you can make around 14 crystal by hour on silithus. however my characters are in high population server, and even then is hard to sell those old professions items.about noblegarden... that and love is in the air always has help me to complete the gold for tokens, so I'm already an expert
"How do you feel about starting over with professions in 8.2? Would you prefer to keep what you have now and get different recipes/mechanics to empower your crafted products?"Starting over feels like a waste. Not using the older pots/flasks in order to make the "greater" ones seems just illogical for many reasons. It's a slap in the face to those of us who have worked hard on our alchemy and got all the ranks and such since launch. It also just jacks up the prices of the herbs needed for the new stuff while also making the old stuff obsolete - further ruining the economy for professions.
Price gouging of mounts seems like another way to flush gold down the toilet of wow economy. Blizzard have mass players statistics, so they expect to be an overall positive thing for the game and economy, when everybody would be pissed to waste 90k on a mount that was previously 5g. It must be frustrating on an individual level.
Feeling very upset about the increase of cost for rep mounts. We've worked hard to get exalted, it's challenging to get enough gold to afford mounts at such an expensive price.
"Have you been farming eggs? Have you ever invested in holiday items to resell in the future, how did it work out?"I have been, even in the short amount of time I have been playing on retail.Farming eggs during Noblegarden is one of those things I can do while just sitting back and relax in-game,while at the same time, providing me good chances and oportunity at a mount, which goes for a quite good price on my server.Sadly,so far,in the two years I have been playing,I have not been lucky to have gotten the mount from either of the eggs, neither was I able to farm the required amount in time,as the competition for them is vicious. All that aside, however,it made for a fun experience. Will definitely try to obtain the mount next year, and try to sell it,and hopefully, make some profit.
"Have you been farming eggs? Have you ever invested in holiday items to resell in the future, how did it work out?"Farmed up the new Hearthstone and the xmog the in the Blood Elf starting area in a couple of hours. Wouldn't call it fun, wouldn't call it profitable, but I'm done with it. Checked AH last day for low mount prices, but they were still quite expensive to hoard for a couple of months.
"Have you been farming eggs? Have you ever invested in holiday items to resell in the future, how did it work out?"I have farmed eggs for all rewards and tbh it was probably best farm of holiday tokens. Bcs it´s not so boring and long as others token such as charms from love is in the Air or Brewfest. And no i did not resell things from holidays to gain prophit, it is kinda risky sometimes, u cannot know if it will even sell so.
Inflation hits my wow pocket sinks, here's too all the good gold I've made. That wil be the last I will be a gold collector, seems like a waste sometimes, this time fo' real.
i would keep my professions. leveling profession is pointless and it feels like not really rewardingi dont plan on buying mounts I just want my invincible damnit blizzard
I can easily afford the mounts and I'm actually happy being able to get them. The MoP alliance gryphon mounts are probably my favorite flying mounts, I love to see getting new colors. I'm quite surprised seeing many complaints about the high price, but as a successful long-time goblin I'm honestly a bit out of touch about the post-Legion average wealth of players.
The amount of gold sinks they are putting in the game is too much :/ They can't remove all casual ways of making gold and put in so much gold sink, that is just breaking the economy and making the gameplay of non-AH masters way worse.
Gold making with alchemy flasks and potions in 8.2....easy mode xD
i just can't farm new hearthstone toy for noble garden.
While it's not the end of the world to me, I have to agree that allowing the professions to build upon themselves throughout the expansion would be far better. That applies to everything really, I think WoW is far too "season" based right now where each content patch tends to invalidate the previous one. I don't think a fully linear system with no catch-ups like we had years ago is a great solution either, but there's definitely a middle ground between the two that would be a lot better for the game.
