If I switch my alts to alchemy for the extended flask duration, it will be a pain to grind all those skill points. If the new mat Zin'anthid is fairly easy to farm, then I'll be glad that potions will be easier to make. It's ridiculous the current ones require 8-10 herbs since MoP required one herb of two kinds. This looks interesting for mythic+ Ricetta: Pozione della Prossimità Potenziata. I'm wondering if the main stat changes during combat based on the number of enemies around you or you have to pop it near enemies to get the full effect.
How do you feel about starting over with professions in 8.2?I'm an Engineer since the beginning (Main char creation date Feb 14th 2005: The monday after EU release). That won't change any time soon.Would you prefer to keep what you have now and get different recipes/mechanics to empower your crafted products? The Uberspanner was... a bit disappointing. Though not the worst Profession Tool, it certainly wasn't in the Top 5 either.Do you have enough gold to buy all of the new vendor mounts in 8.2?Nope. If the amount of gold normal players (I won't become a Goblin. Too much work. And I prefer characters with a bit more... height.) can get doesn't increase massively, I probably never will either. If a true Goblin wants to donate some gold for me though...Have you been farming eggs?Yes. Exactly 475. Then I bought the new Hearthstone and the three new Bunny Ears. Still had a bit chocolate left since I got two items I planned to buy from the eggs and forgot to adjust my farming 'aim'.Have you ever invested in holiday items to resell in the future, how did it work out?Nah, as I mentioned above: too much work. Did manage to make a few coins selling stuff from the eggs I didn't need though. Goblins probably would scoff over the sum and/or selling while the Event is active, but I don't care. :P
Even as a mount collector, I'm not really upset about the expensive recolors. Because if it's both expensive AND boring... I just won't buy it! Easy as that.
The only egg farming I did this year was for the new hearthstone toy!I play on a high pop realm, but had free reign over all of the egg spawns in Azuremyst during the wee hours of the morning :)
I'm looking forward to new profession recepies. It's always fun to have something new to make, sell, or equip. It also makes me more motivated to farm mats. So yeah, I feel ok with them starting over. It's just couple of new recepies and some mats, I'm not really bothered by it.
I'm extremely disappointed, but not surprised, to see that Blizzard has gone out of their way to add yet more reskinned gold sink mounts and sabotage professions which were in a poor place already. Every other action they take nowadays seems to be geared towards draining players of time, gold or both.As to the Noblegarden discussion point: I only farmed enough eggs to buy the new mogs and the Pietra del Ritorno del Vero Gentiluovo. Most of the spare clothing is stored in my bank until at least mid-Autumn when prices rise again with some being sent to friends who wanted the mogs but didn't have time to hunt eggs. Along with the clothing, I acquired several Zampalunga Rapido that dropped from eggs which I'll sell closer to the end of the year or when the market isn't over saturated.
What other 'A' related things would you mention for the A-Z of gold-making? What do you think will be shared for future episodes? No clues tbh.How do you feel about starting over with professions in 8.2? Blizzard have a habit of not carrying profession, etc over to another patch or xpac. So it to be expected. Would you prefer to keep what you have now and get different recipes/mechanics to empower your crafted products? Yes. Do you have enough gold to buy all of the new vendor mounts in 8.2? NoHave you been farming eggs? Not this years no. Have you ever invested in holiday items to resell in the future, how did it work out? Seem you have to wait a half a years to get a good profit off holiday items.
I havent participated in the noble garden in past years but its pretty reliable for profit just need patience not lucky like some others farms. Really looking forward to the end of the event to see the price goes up a bit and im able to sell my farm.
I have not been farming eggs, I never felt that the Noblegarden event was worth time and effort, other than getting my own items. Rabbit pets are a dime a dozen and can be found in the wild, the new one has a unique look but is not hard to farm up. I have in the past had great success with selling cooking and vendor items for Children's Week achievements, small eggs from the dragonhawks outside Silvermoon city sell very well and are used in cooking the chocolate cake that has sold for exorbitant prices in the past years.
I don't really sell holiday items as often as in the past. But when I do, I usually wait the 3-6 month period for the prices to max out.
I really am resenting Blizz's decision to make almost every mount a gold dump. Trust me Blizz people are going broke now you can stop it. Why would REPUTATION mounts be so expensive? already so many many many that are! At least the Grand Expedition Yak is USEFUL and not a recolor of ANYthing.Yak 120k (116k with discount) Unique, Useful not a recolorRedini dello Yak della Grande SpedizioneArmy of the Light Warframe Reputation Mount (at least it is unique) Massive Gold Dump: 550kCorazza da Guerra ForgialuceSpidey Mount: VERY unique also a MASSIVE gold dump: 2 millionMercante Pazzo3 recolors of frog mounts : kinda unique except 3 are just slightly diff colors Gold dump 333,333k each ...GottumPale Direhorn Mount NOT unique simply a recolor of MoP Direhorn mounts (which were FREE BTW) and a very boring blah recolor at that: BIG gold dump:500kRedini del Cornofurente PallidoAuction House mount: MASSIVE gold dump 5 million gold UniqueRedini del Brutosauro Carovana PossenteDEAR BLIZZARD:You have effectively cleaned out our Virtual Dollars on SEVEN mounts. Stop it. JUST FLIPPIN' STOP with the overpriced mounts. I have only listed the worst pocket emptying culprits here. SEVEN mounts .. NINE+ Million gold. Enough is enough. We know you didn't want rich and happy players, but yeah don't worry you "fixed" that. Keep in mind, there is a LOT of potential goodwill coming your way by making the mounts semi affordable! At this stage, you need ALL the goodwill and happy players you can get!Sincerely,The sad, destitute, impoverished mount collectors of Azeroth
So my question is what is best way to farm gold on dead/low pop realms? For example in Goldrinn(RU) it is impossible to sell rare transmog, TCG items or long-term farming items like Mecha-mogul for their real price. Also making money on AH itself is quite hard too. Coz (obviously) noone gives any attention to them
I really like the idea of 'gold sink mounts'. The traveler's tundra mammoth, the grand expedition yak and the longboi each followed a tradition of an expensive, out-of-reach mount that were a goal on its own. I remember saving up for both the tundra mammoth, and even now part of me wants to save up the 5mil for the longboi. But it becomes harder and harder for me to justify saving for a mount when I could buy four or five other mounts with my half-full jar of savings. I am a completionist, and while I accept that some mounts and pets will likely be out of my reach, I try to at least put them on a long-term goal list. In previous expansions, that simply meant that i would get the mounts once inflation increased in the next expansions. But that doesn't seem to be happening. Pets and mog don't sell as well as they used to, the population of my realm is shrinking, and my ability to make gold has reduced.
There was one point where I had every recipe/pattern learned from every profession except for one bag pattern drop. I used to craft a lot until they started tying mats to mythic dungeons. Most of us with disabilities, who had professions as one of the things we could do, got a gut punch over this and they continue to go in that direction.
A few years ago I farmed the coins to buy the different faction lanterns during the lunar festival to sell later, and made a nice profit. This year while farming eggs the mount dropped (which I already had) so I'll be saving it for a bit to see if I can sell it for higher than it's going now.
I don't play many characters, only about two seriously in BfA. The main is Herbalism/Alchemy and the alt is Mining/Engineering. I considered switching my main to Engineering at this point because Alchemy is essentially resetting entirely and I'll have to spend thousands of gold buying the new profession recipes (after I get the rep), but a lot of the Engineering perks are still going to work. The AH robot in Dazar'alor will still be there, the transmogger will still transmog, Jeeves will still repair you, and the BRes will still BRes, and none of that is getting taken away.At this point the expansion-long benefits of Alchemy are the prosperity potion and the extra hour on flasks. Everything else is essentially getting reset and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I'm an engineer anyway so it's not like "restarting" on my profession is any big deal to begin with (especially since the Mecha Mogul recipe hasn't even dropped for me yet). And I'm not too happy with the rep mount prices. I still haven't gotten the Legion spider, let alone all the frogs and of course not the longboi. Casual gold making just ain't cuttin it with these prices.
I would like see more allied races in the next patch.
