If you haven't clued in prior, the Alliance, has been a horde punching bag since Wc 3, this is just another in a long line of middle fingers the Alliance playerbase gets every time we login
Tyrande got revenge for the Night Elves? What a missed opportunity, would have been sweet to see that in-game.What?Oh, they were talking about the Darkshore Warfront? Oh, haha, great joke! Imagine me rolling on the floor with laughter....What? They were serious? Well that puts me in a bind because I don't know whether to keep laughing or start crying.
Got her revenge for night elves? Are you kidding me! At least she should re-captured Darnassus again, yet they barely got hold of Darkshore now. This is like when an interesting side character in a manga got shelved just cause the writer has no more idea.
Well yeah, Blizzard really hates night elves. All Tyrande did was not even take Darkshore and fail to stop Nathanos, he couldn't even stop mocking her for most of that and she needed Malfurion to jump in. The "night elf revenge" was getting a bunch of night elves to join Sylvanas, while Tyrande's powers were completely useless. Now the night elves don't even really show up to fight Azshara outside of token representation in Shandris. What a joke of a story team, it was obvious they hated night elves for some reason, but this really hammers that idea in and that they have no real plans for their story outside of showing up to get beaten up to advance some other story.
It's this kind of stuff that makes me laugh every time a diehard Hordie claims Blizzard's only factional bias leans towards the Alliance.
Don't worry, it's long chain of events to always take alliance lands and make them contested or horde dominated without anything in return. We could have warfront barrens and hillsbrad, but nope, it's darkshore and arathi, both alliance zones in the past. Azshara was another Night Elf zone given to the Horde, Goblins in particular, and what did Worgens get to match it? Nothing, while Gilneas remains plagued. Teldrassil joined list of locations denied to Alliance after Southshore, Theramore, Silverwind Refuge, etc. Every time Alliance is allowed "revenge" it's completely meaningless like Siege of Orgrimmar (unscathed and left in hands of the Horde, not even allowed to execute Garrosh because Thrall needs to have his duel) or Battle for Dazar'Alor (Zandalari emerged from it stronger than before and united with the Horde, Talanji is better leader than Rastakhan, and Alliance was repelled).
Seriously. Like.. Seriously? Why you gotta do me this way, Blizzard?
So Night Elves had revenge for becoming a dying race, by killing some forsaken solders, and still fighting for their starting zone, without a home an proper future? Nice.Lets just delete this race from the game. )
For a quick summery, blizzard just took a Giant Dump on the night Elfs because they didn't wanna bother to develop them race or lore, instead their going to release more Saurfang and thrall Ships for funs and luls.
More often than not I am a big-time Blizzard story shill. But the idea that the night elves have had their revenge and that their role as central figures in this story is over is something I can't wrap my mind around. If nothing else Tyrande and Malfurion have a common heritage and history with Azshara going back ten thousand years. It would make more sense for Tyrande to be leading the Alliance in this fight than sitting it out ... who knows where .. doing who knows what. By any standard the burning of Teldrassil and the raising of Sira, Delaryn, et al are huge events with major implications to the story. I'm only speaking for myself, but I don't think I can accept "Okay, so now that's a thing" as a satisfying end to these events.
Got her revenge? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? WHY IS SHE NOT INVOLVED IN SUCH A CAMPAIGN INVOLVING SUCH A MAJOR HISTORICAL EVENT FOR HER OWN PEOPLE! YOU GOTTA BE F&*(#&$ KIDDING ME!
