Don't feel bad guys ive been playing since vanilla and ive been a GM since MoP and ive only been invited to two betas. Wish they would have mentioned the separate opt in months ago. We'll get our turn! I'm also kind of pissed they announced it would be summer 2019.....august 27th is literally the end of summer and pretty much the start of the school year for most people in the US at least. I wish they would have been a bit more specific it kind of feels like a kick in the arse that we dont get to play classic at all this summer and we dont yet have a launch date for 7.2 so i dont have much of a reason to log in most days.
We need another invite wave, don't we?
Didn't get key this time, im not a big streamer : (
Blizzard should've said this "Beta" was in reality "streamers only." We already know what expect from classic and it's been played before. There is no need to let streamers market their game when it already was years ago.
I’m not a streamer or content provider and I received an invite. The theory of preferential treatment is now debunked.
If you're not an influencer, getting beta access is essentially random. Looking through the comments and how long some of these people claim to have been playing, it's surprising that this is still something people don't understand. This isn't a line you've been standing in since your account was created or your sub was set up. It's pulling names out of a hat. Again, talking about normal people and not press/streamers here.
Launching Classic in August. They are desperate for subs.
mailman must lost my classic beta access license since i cant login yet did got bfa alpha invite though so probably getting this one too
I don’t know what algorithm they use but I don’t beta test and I’ve been invited to every single beta minus burning crusade. The only thing I can point to is having played since day #1.
Nah had enough classic raiding back in 2006. That's was tedious and awful. Only bluegeared plebeians have nostalgia for it.
The more sad part is that they don't even report the bugs they found. Literally watched Staysafe found 2 bugs within an hour, did not report any of them because he is rushing for the world first level 30...... In a beta... Really Blizzard needs this kind of people in testing?
I understand the need to beta test. It makes sense to test the game before it goes live. This should be done by people who know what they are looking for and who care about the future of this project. It does not make sense to me that this should be done by "influencers", whatever the ^&*! those are. If the classic hypers are to be believed there are 10 million raving vanilla WoW fans just chomping at the bit to be able to play on classic servers and save blizzard from the terrible mistakes it has made operating the most successful mmorpg ever for the past 15 years. This access should have been given to them and not to any idiot with a webcam who can make "witty" comments while others watch them play a game.Just because it never hurts to disclaimer things these days. I am looking forward to classic. I hope it does well. I do not want nor am I the right person to do beta testing of this type so I will not be disappointed if I don't get to participate. I do think its weird to watch a person play a video game that I am fully capable of playing but I am not jealous of streamers for finding a way to fleece people who don't find it weird.
