So now I will get kick from every island group with my dh because I want to farm these damn mount ? Nice...
Good, next fix the "script" that lets twinks to bypass xp lock and enter leveling bg's
>people are taking advantage of a levelling mechanic to make gold >some are then turning it into real money>Blizz didn't intend people to afk and get levelled (think the 5.4 Pandaria xp drama)>Blizzard nerfs exploited levelling mechanic>players come out of the walls "but think of all these innocent uses!">buff only applies to premade groups>this really only hurts people selling paid runs.>people running islands locked at 110 with friends will get to do it longerI mean, problem solved, hypocrites.
"There seem to be no notifications of who is providing the buff to the group, plus there are no warnings when players with XP on invite others with XP off."I don't mind the buff IF at least this is solved, otherwise is stupid. The best method I learned is queue for island and dungeon at the same time, but if we cannot know who turned exp off, it only makes another problem, to the problem (btw I didn't know people where canceling experience, worst if it is for money)
Finally!
i sure its because soon blizz will up the level boost to 120 and paying for it via freehold boosting for less then a token will affect sales of the level boost my guess
I seriously hope this is not global, but only aimed at near-caps?I got level 19-20s exp-locked toons which I can use to keep in touch when I let my sub lapse. There was fun to be had running some lowbie dungeon or running a BG, but with that crap, the clearly visible buff (yes, you can currently see a "red bandana" buff on a toon with locked XP) is going to mean an instant kick.Or maybe too many people already unsubbed, but keep in touch? So Ion's getting desperate for fear of loosing his job and wants to push their hand?BfA has already been a monstrous push for "corporate reporting stat" - time, by means of making literally everything take ages... all the way to the little detail of having horde constantly wasting time flying from port to seal and back. Now that you think about it, that "corporate reporting stat" was introduced in exchange for subscription numbers when the previous failure destroying the game was trying to defend themselves from getting fired after players started leaving in droves in response to their "game design"... now the new failure got caught trying to exploit the pitfalls of internal reporting rather than making a good game... suppose sooner or later he's getting the boot. Hopefully sooner than later.
valid point
This is a good change.Anything they touch in the game its bound that someone will complain.Same here with these boosters rushing to the forums spinning how its doom and gloom anything to suite there narrative. As much as i dont like bfa this is a good change. And not the first time they nerff something xp related.Be sure too have more in the future.
finally less Money for the boosting comuntiy and to everybody who thinks ok then i will kick out the Person who deactivated exp gain using the kick Option without any reason is against the TOS
I dont see this change making it to live. Blizzard makes alot of money from freehold boosting. if i had a dollar for every one of my buyers who told me they are waiting for a token to sell id be rich, this would mean blizzard would be losing alot of money.
If this seriously affects all levels, this is messed up. I leave characters are certain expansions level cap so I can have fun there when I want, but without the help of people who are leveling up, it's impossible to group up. This just made that a reality.
=)
Why Raid and Dungeon sells allowed? this is destroy game and fun too.. oh yes blizz not concern because boosters buy gold then buy boost.. but leveling is problem because no one buy your expensive 60 dolar boost.. and blizz choose nerf problem solved..
Let's take a look at the problem from a different perspective, why do people pay for this powerleveling 110 to 120 ? or maybe, let's think they do it for FREE, i don't care. But why do people do this? Because is easier you may say, because is faster, or it requires less attention, maybe people want to try a different class as soon as possible, whatever the case might be, people want to do this, and when there's demand, there will be someone willing to offer the service, no matter what you do to try and stop it, people will find a way. What i've learned after leveling over 16 lvl 120 characters, and another 10 or 11 110+, and I repeat: in MY experience and from my point of view is:Heirlooms are weakQuests are tedious and repetitive after the 3rd or 4th time and their rewards are weak and boringNot a single interesting Trinket or effect on any item The chance of "titanforing" on quest rewards made the items plain boring.Rares are not even rare, they're predictable.Treasures are worthless, they're NOT treasures, they're BOXES with crap on the ground.Zone Events are Fun, and the final quest of every map is pretty good too.Azerite traits are boring, tasteless, repetitive and they complety lack class representation. There is no customization option to make your character feel compelling, interesting or fun.And i'm talking about the leveling part of the game, think about this, you create a lvl 1, and you have to wait untill lvl 120, and gather 50 lvls on your hearth of azeroth to get some of the upcoming traits and maybe change the way you play "a little". You get a talent every 10 or 15 lvls and it means no difference at all in the way you play, talents are not even important today. Leveling up only means feeling weaker, your armor (if not heirlooms) doesn't fulfill the requirments of your new needs, you NEVER feel stronger after leveling up.And here you are, trying to punish the people who twink, to try make this experience less of a chore for someone else, selling it or for free, and not punishing the ones selling M10+, Jaina kill, or whatever. You keep the gear that will make this game easier to play behind a wall of wipes, ragequits, elitists, unfair oneshot mechanics, time limits, gear minimum requirments, a litereal grinding wheel full of RNG, what's the difference bewteen a lootbox and a Boss this days? And don't get me wrong, i'm a masochist, i love raiding as much as i love leveling, i love this game. I love every class, and every spec. And i've played them all. And i'll keep playing 'till the day blizzard dies. But i'd like a little more flavor, a little more customization, i'm sure they can make leveling a fun experience, they can make every class different that the rest, make every talent matter, every spell more attractive. And if people twink, if people sell carries for leveling, or gearing. There's plenty of reasons for them to do that. Making twinks a detriment for others is not the solution, a twink will only affect you if you join him willingly, i doubt anyone here will complain about a lvl 60 twink found in a random LFG, carrying the party all the way through 3 or 4 dungeons. But with this change, every PUG, every random group, will have a chance to be ruined by one, making them unwanted, and rejected, causing an even bigger segregation of the player base. I Beg Blizzard to look for a better solution, listen to your playerbase, listen to your fans, listen to us. And know, that no matter what you change, there will be people who disagree.
A very well thought out summary of the situation. Unfortunately their heads are so far up their behinds they flourish by feeding on their own bile.
